Y'all did a lot of my nominating for me.

I'm interested in the contest!

My nominees...

@atomiktoaster - This guy has volunteered to do reshipping on a number of occasions. That takes time, and time is money. Without him I might not have received my Blades sample set, and [redacted]. Definitely grateful for his efforts!

@Apache - Josh continues to bring new chips to market and successfully navigated the waters of public opinion when it came to finalizing the details of the Majestic line without causing a nuclear war. Getting us chippers to agree on something like that ain't easy, and while everyone wasn't perfectly satisfied with the choices, most of us were mostly satisfied. That's as good as you can ask for, and the result was a quality CC set on a great new mold.

Interested.

First nomination: @AfterTheFact - For introducing me to the TRK chips; without seeing his Riversides @ the time, I would have never started my quest to build a Mapes set. Thanks for sharing the Mapes obsession.

Second nomination: @Puggy - Truly wonderful and gracious spirit. Went out of his way to help me get a sample set of the GCOP set. The |Board would not be the same without him.

Special Thanks to... @H|Q , @courage, @Mr Tree, @Jeff - for inviting me into their homes' to partake in the debauchery we all love.

Thanks @Jackstraw for the nomination AND for you know what.

This is fun, and I want to participate.

So many people to choose from, since so many have done very nice things for me. But here goes...

1) Mikko @Spinettis Gaming. Most of my favorite chips have come from Spinettis (Dunes, Fitzgeralds, Mapes, Nevada Lodge, and some fantastic fracs -- probably others I'm forgetting at the moment). And Mikko is so wonderful to work with. I'm constantly having him check inventory for me, send me pricing information, and answer a bunch of questions. He's currently working on a BIG request, for which he's looking under every proverbial stone to try to complete a set for me. He's the best -- and please keep looking Mikko -- I REALLY need them :).

2) @ski_ex5 -- for bringing us the ultrasonic cleaning method. Perhaps others have suggested this method before, but Tim made it a science, really described the process in detail, and I think the entire community benefited as a result. I would never again have bought a set of used chips, if I had to clean them all by hand like I did my first used set. In addition, my Empress Toots set came from Tim, and he introduced me to silver strikes and casino plaques. He also has been a wealth of information for me. He is an all around awesome guy, and I am honored to consider him a friend.

I have to name a couple of honorable mentions too --

@H|Q, for bringing the Trop GB to the group, AND for making the best of a terrible situation when 300 x $1s (and 400 chips overall) got lost in the mail when the box split open in transit. (I'm still looking for 1 more rack of $1s if anyone has any). While he couldn't replace all the lost $1s, he was able to replace all but 1 rack, and did right by me in the end. Thank you!

@Whitewolf777, for helping me find some rare plaques in France, and making me have a better attitude in general. What a genuinely nice guy! I enjoy chatting with him via email, and he is a very generous, thoughtful person.

Many many others have helped me find chips I'm looking for, helped me in other ways, just been super great people. You know who you are :)

@AfterTheFact a true brother and great friend got me started in the chip hobby all together without him I would have never known anything.... thanks for the last 20 years homie!

@Jackstraw one of the nicest guys on the planet and started about the same time as me in the hobby. Great collector and knows a thing or two about vino as well .... Class act and happy to call him a friend ....a proud father and all round great fella.

@Toddkeller33 what can I say about Todd , I have learned so much from him, admire his chip knowledge and bought my very first set from him and it is one I will never sell . He too exhibits true class and deserves a shout out... too many folks on here may not realize how Todd has touched you with his chip collection in one way or the other. .. He deserves a nod in my book

I'll be using a random number generator to determine the winner (at the conclusion of the contest). I'll be using post numbers from this thread. If a number hits that is NOT a valid entry (chatter, etc...), then I'll just re-run the generator until I get a valid post.

HERE'S the number website

Thanks for the nomination @Psypher1000 !

I'll pass it on to @Ronoh, who was nice enough to be the sponsor of the first chip giveaway I ever won, and @David O who was very generous when I was in a tough spot due to a vendor mistake and has been wonderful on both ends of a few chip transactions.

Wow I feel honored and a bit surprised to be mentioned in this thread. There are probably many more folks here that deserve it more. Thank you, @atomiktoaster for the call out!

1. I am interested.

2. @Tommy - I think he deserves recognition for the great site he runs out of the love for the hobby. Not using it as a profit center and bringing all of the vendors in to support the community. Not a part time effort on his part.

@DrStrange - He was one of the first that was always there to help me when I first started. He invited me to his home to play in his game where he showed me his vast chips collection. Also you have to love his game knowledge and strategies.

Great idea @Trihonda

Thanks for the thread @Trihonda !!!

There's a ton of people I could nominate for sure... Bunch of good people hanging around here! Every single interaction I had ITF has been phenomenal... Being part of this community is an honor for me...

Anyways, since I can only pick two, excluding those who mentioned me, these are my two nominees:

@mike32 : What can I say, great guy all around... Mike makes every poker game he's playing in (or hosting!) a BLAST! Always, always in a good mood, winning or loosing, the later happening not very often at all unfortunately (for me)... A true old-school chipper with great sets, he's a great guy to talk 'chips' with... Mike is also the guy who ALWAYS sends me fresh eBay listings, even for sets he's also interested in... Thank you for being an awesome dude Mike!

@Poker Zombie (and @Mrs Poker Zombie !): Again, aside from the fact they are awesome people and great to hangout with, they took time from their very busy schedule in Last Vegas last summer to support me during my deep-ish WSOP run... Even when my buddies entered other events and cash games after dropping out, the Zombies were there, railing me and cheering me up... I'll never forget guys and can never thank you enough...

My 'Life Time Achievement' goes to: @Tommy !!!! I joined the site shortly after he started the community and he has always made me feel like family... I know every time we communicate I tell you that man, but really, THANK YOU for everything...

Also thank you so much to @detroitdad , @Ronoh and @Strike1st for your kindness... You, gentlemen, ROCK!!!

Interested (and honored by @ChaosRock).

I will nominate both @detroitdad and @ChaosRock both for the same simple reason that I am very lucky to be friends with both of them in real life. We get to play poker, drink awesome bourbon and beer together, and last but not least talk chips! There are many great people on this website that I will never get to meet in real life, but our SE Michigan scene is one of the better ones due to these 2 guys! We also have many other mutual friends that are unfortunately not on this site, why not I have no idea!

Thank you "TheDeezer". That means allot to me. It is always my pleasure. I have been doing this for over 15 years and have owned just about everything at one time or another. I have met so many great people over the years and I really can't think of any bad experiences. The chip community is awesome and filled with allot of amazing people. Too many to name.

But a couple of stand outs for me over the years are Mike and Mikko (Spinettis) Jim Schafer (The Chip Room) Jim Evering (Nevada Jacks) and James Campiglia (The Casino Chip Price Guide) The chip community has been blessed by their collections and efforts and my collection would not be the same without them. Thank you guys!!!

My name is Todd Keller and I'm a chipoholic.

Still a lot of time to get in your nominations and enter to win. :)

Thanks @Junior24xx, but I'm still a newb myself. Still have a lot to learn...

I should pay it forward, though, so

@RichMahogany, who was willing to send me a sample set of chips across the flippin' continent and across borders with just a vague promise that I would send them back (yes, he got them back).

@Mr. Cheese, who encouraged my various chips and card addictions here.

(and honourable mention to @Tommy for creating this site in the first place. :))

Interested.

1) @manamongkids for finding me on CT and introducing me to this fantastic forum as I've really enjoyed my first few weeks; not sure I would have joined a 2nd forum if it were not for him praising this group and highly recommending this forum

2) @atomiktoaster for taking the time to give me some very insightful information regarding building my first mixed set; I wasn't quite sure where to start but he along with many others have given me some great tips; can't wait

And honorable mention to...

3) @Meddler2 and @dennis63 for providing me with some very much needed information regarding my initial concerns with lead in chips; their information has helped me to be better educated on the situation

4) all PCF members for their warm welcomes and insights on various topics

There is still time to participate. ETA on my chips is early April. :).

Tough choices.

I am interested.

@Mr. Cheese For selling me my first set of Royal Yaks... That's a good thing, Right?

@Poker Zombie Knowledge, Humor, Attitude plus he is a Zombie.

It was tough to choose because I also enjoying reading the newer members posts... They ask questions I have not thought of and everyone here is willing to share their knowledge.

It's hard for me to just pick two people to nominate.

One of the more recent two are @slisk250 who is helping me rebuild my Terrible's collection this summer

Another is @bentax1978 who helped and gave me some great sage advice on some of my chips when I was selling them and also on my new design.

Honorable mentions would include: @BGinGA who helped me get the sexy GV secondary 500's I needed, @p5woody who designed my Gangster Squad cloth, @abby99 who has helped me with my Grand Vic Secondary set, @Ben for sending me a sample set back in the day when I had missed out on the original sample set order and also for a sweet Crystal Park 100 :). @PAZ for a sample set of TRK's which I shuffle everyday at work. The list could honestly go on and on, I know I've missed a lot of people that have helped me throughout the years and made this place amazing!

Thanks everyone!

I want to nominate @ChaosRock because he is awesome, but since he mentioned me (second after @Poker Zombie ) I'm not sure I'm allowed. I'll toss it out there anyways since ChaosRock has always been super nice to me.

@Mr Tree is the most amazing dude ever. Not only does he host a superb event, he has gone above and beyond with me as a visitor. Even allowing me to run his game when he was busted out. Hm... that sounds worse than I meant.

@David Spragg is my next mention, since he has a lot of humor and fun with PokerZombie and I. He was kind enough to ensure I got a sample chip since PokerZombie was apt to steal mine.

Thanks for reading!
