Time to address the elephant in the room, what's your favorite STOCK set that is CURRENTLY in production available to consumers?

Mine - for today:
New Money no-issue: CPC CSQ Rounders
New Under $400 (set of 500): Tiki Kings
New Under $300 (500): Dunes China Clays
New Under $200 (500): Milano
New Under $100 (500): Crown casino, Monte Carlo

Cool post. Another vote for Milanos under $200.

My single favorite chip of the sub $200 sets goes to the Majestic 50c. Love that chip.

I love that chip too. It get's dicey when shipping might drive the set over $300. If they were exactly the same price I would choose the Majestics over the Milanos, nice avatar!

And now you got me thinking, what is my one favorite chip...

Are the Venerati's still in production? The site has about half the denominations out of stock - not sure how long they've been like that.
I think they're the only cheap chip I'd put on a list.

I really need to get some Venerati samples.

They're pretty nice. Honestly, it wouldn't shock me if the nevada jacks and/or tiki kings felt even better - I just never went for samples of those because I didn't like the look.

BCC Mardi Gras are still available for retail but not in production or they would get my vote.

Going by both standards, I would go with CPC rounders.

New Money no-issue: CPC Atlantic HS solids
New Under $400 (set of 500): Sun-Fly Ravenor Classic
New Under $300 (500): Nevada Jacks Desert Sands (Although I might lose sleep over the edge spots not being aligned)
New Under $200 (500): Sidepot Venerati
New Under $100 (500): Anything denominated without that sparkly hologram ring.

*All favourites subject to change... Pretty much daily.

CPC Rounders. I'm not biased at all.

My list for now - Although the Tiki and Majestics are unlikely change as I own sets of these already, the rest are subject to change.

New Money no-issue: CPC CSQ Rounders
New Under $400 (set of 500): Tiki Kings
New Under $300 (500): Majestics
New Under $200 (500): Poker Knights
New Under $100 (500): Apart from Dice chips (probably around £20-£40($25-$50), almost impossible to get anything in the UK at this price range.

So shipping to the UK is what screws me (plus 20% import taxes) might as well add around $70 on shipping alone.

Currently available, in stock, or in production:

The Riverboat (BCC web mold)
Mardi Gras Casino (BCC T-mold)
Atlantic Club (CPC A-mold w/inlays)
Atlantic Club (CPC A-mold w/hot-stamps)
Key West Resort & Casino (ASM/CPC H-mold)
Nine Dragons (GOCC ceramics)
Dunes Hotel & Casino (Apache china clays)

Mardi Gras T mold. They sill have some in stock. If the ones weren't so screwed up I would have a set.

If its only from your list. None. I'll pass.

First for me hands down is CPC Rounders CSQ
Second are Milanos
Third Tiki Kings
Fourth Majestic ( I love they have acrylic plaques too)

Higher budget:

Rounders on the Scroll Mold
Atlantic Club with inlays

Lower budget:

Majestic china clays
Dunes china clay

Hey its @Hobbyphilic! Was curious if you were on here. I have to thank you...your YouTube channel has started me on this poker chip adventure I've been on. Really enjoy your videos. You inspired me to go out and get my first set of CPS then to go and buy a 300 set of Dunes. Without your videos I would have never learned and still be using my crappy yin/yang metal insert chips.

To answer the original question, for me, when it comes to affordable price range, so middle of the road...I'd say the Dunes China clay. The Dunes Nexgen are okay, but the CC really feel like a true casino chip. And don't have the cross-hatching the CPS have. If they took the cross-hatching off the CPS I'd say they would be my favorite. The Dunes are just so smooth and easy to stack, shuffle and do tricks with and look good on the felt.

Stock sets:

High end: Key West for sure....(Rounders are cool, but not sure that is a "stock" set)

Low end: CPS china clays. I always liked these the best of all the china clays. The new Dunes are nice too.

Check out the new stock chip offerings from CPC. Several new designs, including two versions of the Rounders set.

Well damn....I stand corrected...didn't notice that they updated the Stock Sets page. That's pretty darn cool. That is a cool chip for sure.

However...Now that I'm addicted to Paulson Casino chips, I will probably never buy another stock set. My Key West set will always be my special gateway drug set, but I'd probably regret buying any other set.

I'm learning a lot from this too. The CPC Atlantic Hot stamps excite me in ways I'm not sure I should express.

Also, BCC chips interest me. However, I don't think I can give full credit for that. 1/2 credit maybe.
