Here is the first collection I started, even though they do not make a playable set, but I love inlaid casino frac chips:

My second collection I started, which DOES make a playable set, and a damn fine one at that:

I am familiar enough with poker chip singles now that it's pretty easy for me to think of a chip color, and to recall the very best chips I've ever seen that had that base color. I got exposed to a lot of great, unfamiliar chips back when I ran my "PCF's Favorite __(color)__ Chip" polls a few years ago. (I got exposed to a lot of awful chips too, some of you have horrible taste :D) So I made myself a little database of my favorites, about 4-7 chips in each of the 11 "base" hues, and started collecting them. I got three in the mail this week, so now I have enough chips to start a thread. And no, I will not share my favorites with you until I possess them. The last thing I need is stiff competition for semi-rare chips.

I think the black background caused my iphone 11 to take an absolutely awful picture. My next phone has two requirements - no bloatware, and an awesome camera please.

I'm still deciding which category the Little Caesars $1000 chip belongs to. It's like a tan-peach combo/mix. He might need his own category.

This thread needs more action! Unfortunately, chips for THIS collection are moderately rare and expensive. There will not be weekly or even monthly updates. At any rate, BROWN had a good day today. New chip to the collection, cleaned and oiled properly.

Just a beautiful chip. It brings a tear to my eye. There is no doubt that this chip is brown. There is also no doubt that this chip is from the era of this couch:

My pantheon of brown chips is the largest I've amassed so far, depending on whether I count my non-duplicated Rat Rod red chips as "owned" or not. So far, we have:

I do have four other chips on my hit list. I've tried to find seven in each color. If anybody has one of the following chips, I do not have one and would like to. I'll trade for it or buy it or accept your donation to my museum.

I love these contests. Going to dig up some contenders. Thanks Paul

Heavy TRK formulation, confirmed. I love this chip. It is certainly one of the best tan/beige/brown/chocolate chips ever produced.

First addition to my purple chips. Definitely a top ten all time purple chip.

Anybody have a spare Ambassador Plaza $500 for sale/trade/charity?

Forgot I even made this thread. The collection is still active! I finally have more than one chip in the white category now. 35 years ago, Paulson really really knew how to make a world class chip.
