Love my Vineyards, and I'm itching to get what I have on the table for a cash game, but I have no $5, and at least right now, may not have any for the foreeable future.
The game I usually play in starts with $20 buy-ins, and quickly goes to $40. Total bank is usually between $300-600.

Curious what anyone thinks about a cash game structure with fracs, $1, $3 and $10? (Ironically, I have lots of 10 and no 5s)
Is the $3 just too awkward? On the plus side, it and the 10 chips are beautiful together.

Just do fracs, 1 and 10. The 3 isn't adding any convenience, no-one is used to 3x maths, and fewer denoms is generally better.

Funnily enough, 3x is mathematically better than 4-5x but probably difficult for people to do the math (the best would be ex jumps but since e is irrational nobody is trying that).

Use the $3 & $10, people will figure it out. It’s not that many more chips for most of the bets. People will adjust the betting.
