Wow didn't notice til I looked at my post that there's a chip to be cleaned! lol

I bought the Pharaoh's Club chips kind of by accident, so I think I'll make a separate cash set with those, or sell them off later :)

Those are awesome chips! Ya, but not a bad plan to keep those in different sets. Of course people are free to do (and chip) how they please. However, it seems the prevailing thought when building mixed chip sets is to at least keep to similar molds. A House mold paired with an RHC mold would tilt me to no end. But the colors pair up nicely.

LOL, when I was building my first set, I had mix molds..... I thought people were nuts to dislike it (who cares as long as they feel and sound the same). Fast forward a year ..... my set has completely matching molds ..... dumped the THC chips and got all RHC chips to relabel (y)

BTW.... those 1s look awesome!

whered the chip carrier come from
Made a post about them here:

Thanks everyone!

Gotta start somewhere, I may post the Pharaoh's Club for sale and see if I can recoup some $ towards something that fits better... or not.

The racks that came with the cage are definitely loose compared to the 66.7 that came with the Pharaoh's Club chips... maybe they're 67.1 or something, there's no numbers on them.

They're probably 67.7mm racks and usually too loose to be useful for Paulson chips.

I thought standard was 70mm and 68mm were the smaller ones that fit Paulsons better? According to Apache, OWPS, etc... I'm confused now because I was looking to grab some racks too. If we need to move this to another thread that's fine so we don't interfere with intention of OP.

My understanding wad that 66.7mm were considered the small ones and 67.7mm were considered the larger ones, and anything larger would be way to big for Paulson chips. But I could be mistaken.

66.7mm racks -- the smallest made, afaik -- nicely fit mint Paulson chips, Bud Jones plastics, and most ceramics. They are made by Paulson, Bud Jones, old Chipco (cloudy/flexible), new Chipco (PGI), PGI-branded, and generic 66.7-branded racks. Worn Paulson chips will be a loose fit (depending on the amount of wear), and 66.7 racks are too small to fit most ASM/CPC chips or most china clays.

67.7mm racks will fit most ASM/CPC chips and some china clays. In my opinion, they are too large for mint Paulson chips, and WAY too big for used Paulsons.

The cheap racks (made in China) are typically 68mm or more commonly 70mm, and are usually what is sold with cheap chips.

There are a couple of other odd-sizes (PGI created a special 71mm rack for their 8V greek key china clays) that were too thick for even the cheap racks.

Nice start, gostumpy. Nothing wrong with mixed molds, if you like the chips. I think those two choices go together nicely.

Wait until you get your hands on some mint vintage THC or TRK chips and ~really~ fall down the rabbit hole....

The $1's are in such perfect condition it almost seems like a shame to play with them?? Tempted to look for more played primaries for less $ and build a playing set with those, and keep these on display :)

I think most chippers will agree with me... Chips are meant to be played!!! It would take you a very long time to notice any significant wear. They'll get "grumpy" if they're just sitting on a shelf.

It's the chipper's conundrum. I have several unused sets I'd love to play but the more time passes, the less likely it becomes.

Wow do these ever stack well, lol!! I stacked 180 and could have gone higher but didn't want to risk damage to the chips if it fell...

In my experience, mint RHC chips fit well in 66.7 racks. I have some dead mint THC chips (can't recall whether they're SCV or LCV, and can't check at the moment) that are entirely too tight of a fit in 66.7 racks to be comfortable with. They're even a tight squeeze in 67.7 racks, but not so tight that I worry too much about damage. The 66.7 racks fit some other mint THC chips like a glove. I don't know whether it's base color or SCV/LCV or vintage or what, but there is some variation. Of course, when you get a barrel with a warped chip or two, you'll sometimes need 70mm racks, but that's a chip issue.

Interesting. All Paulson mold chips are made to the exact same thickness specification, and I've found that they are remarkably consistent across the board. All of my THC and RHC chips (plus the suits and PAULSON CHIPS mold) fit my racks exactly the same.

Yeah, my suits and PAULSON CHIPS mold chips all fit 66.7 perfectly as well. The chips in question are my Silks $1s. I don't think I've noticed it with any of my other THC chips, such as Aztar $25s, Empress and PCA $5s, hotstamped fracs, and whatever else I may have kicking around. No detectable warping on the Silks $1s, but those things are chalky mint. You have to squeeze them together to fit in the 66.7 racks. I know @Weckedy has some, and @liftapint and @DMZ used to have some. Did you all notice this at all?
