I hear you, man... If the read is that strong, yeah by all means... But if you're playing against a half decent player, the shove is definitely -EV, imo.

Based upon villain’s earlier shove with QTo and two min-raises in this hand as well as a 1/5pot bet on river I don’t think he’s a decent player. Could be he doesn’t have a lot of understanding of bet sizing and his two min raises are insanely strong, but against average players I think this is a profitable line

I meant I think @ChaosRock is giving him too much credit. He is a guy that shoved with q10 preflop earlier against heavy action. I think he could easily call off his two pairs. I think he could see a shove as a bluff. I don't think he is a player that puts much thought into previous action.

I’m discounting AJ & KT a lot because of the flop raise. Those hands don’t want to take a chance at being re-raised. And loose passive players aren’t getting all aggro with second pair or straight draws too often. They are for sure calling with them though.

So there is some valuable info @Perthmike could be sharing with us. How did he get his rebuy up to $700? One big hand? Several small hands? How did he play these hands?

Maybe he is the type of player who’d call off his 2P after two raise/calls and a check/shove. Would I put my stack on that assumption? No, unless he was a regular at my game and I had played with him quite a few sessions.

Just my opinion of course, and I certainly respect other peoples different take on the matter. This is just mine.

@Rhodeman77 i didn’t exactly See how he built the stack, as id left the table to grab some food.

I agree with the comments about the small flop sizing, though I had been trying specifically that session to c bet wider, but on the smaller side. The way some of my table were playing, smaller sizings were getting through on bluffs, so I didn’t want to adjust my made hand sizes and be too obvious.

I also agree that I should really donk lead the turn after flatting the flop raise, but I didn’t think the ace helped him other than turning potential single pair holdings into two pair. I’d seen him call with flush draws twice earlier, but not raise them, so I discounted k10. Against a better player, I might opt for a check raise on the turn.

I ended up snap calling the $100 and he turned over AQ, which as people said was probably his likeliest holding other than qj.

I’m still on the road to recovery from my biggest ever downswing (nearly back at peak bankroll though) and I raised in similar spots with similar strength hands and got shown the nuts in a couple of large pots. That could well have affected my decision not to raise.

In the end, I was confused by the guy, he didn’t seem to be thinking on any level and I was a bit concerned by how keen he was to raise both times. I guess that just Jq or qa should in theory be more likely than jj or qq given the pre flop flat from him, but at the time it seemed an overly aggressive line for a calling station to be taking with two pair.

He is awful and has zero understanding of bet sizing. Those min raises from him are very strong as far as I can tell from what I’ve seen of him so far.

Now that we know he had AQ, that explains why your spidey senses were tingling. He was pretty damn strong. If we can rely on that read, that he’s way up in his value range and not doing this with AK or QJ, call is the right play. Also why, as @ChaosRock mentioned, we wouldn’t want to jam into a better player, who is more likely to lay down the AK, AT type hands.

The real question is would you have called if he made a real bet on the river...say $300
