Forum Upgrade (3 Viewers)

Just an update. I've been testing (with some help of course) and styling the new forum software over the last few days. The feedback that I am getting is to stay consistent with the current design/layout. I've made some edits to try and make it as close as possible within the limitations of the new platform. Some things will be a little different but I feel they will be easy to pick up on. One thing I notice is that there are way too many places to leave comments and posts outside of the forum. It can become very messy and un-organized. I like clean and simple as I think most do too. For that reason, not every option needs to be turned on. There are some new updated features that we use now so I will posts a thread just for those.

Here are a couple of pics. I have a few more things to tweak before we taxi to the runway.

A nice window just opened up for me. I will be doing the upgrade a little later tonight. It will take about 2 hours to complete.

I hope you can make this work Tommy. I don't know how long it takes to get used to new interfaces or whatever.

I hope so too. The look will be similar. I think most will pick up the changes pretty quickly. The new platform is more efficient in many ways.

That will be added soon. How many posts per page do you normal set it at?

It's set to 30 globally for now.

I fixed those links. I will need to run a db query to do them all at once. Same with the Table BBCode. Let me know if you encounter any more issues. Thanks!

Just ran the query and updated 440+ video links. All videos should be fixed now.

I've been busy lately - and under cognitive-inhibiting medication so unless it was the S@P II thread, I probably haven't seen it. So this morning was quite the shock when my bookmarked page wasn't running.

I am on the "dislike change" train, but I understand the reason.

Yes. It's a 2-click process, but easy enough to do.

That's good if you want to pick parts of post that you want to reply to. Otherwise you can just use the "reply with quote" button or "multi-quote" button to the right of that.
