Guitars you own (2 Viewers)

Thanks man! I signed my lease about 6 months ago. Since then, it's been a hit with my crew.

Your powers of observation are astounding :)

It's the 60's Classic Vibe. Agreed - I think Squiers play and sound amazing.
A buddy of mine has a CV Tele that smokes. You'd think it was a $1000 guitar. I had a J Mascis Jazzmaster for a while. I miss it sometimes.

Three guitars that play much better than me... lol

Got this (used) the other day, haven't tried it out yet:

My old nothing-special Washburn A/E that was simple/fun to just strum on, and a hated Gibson LP (hated by others because it's a robot, loved by me because it's a quality LP). Don't matter what the tuners are, it's STILL a Les Paul and if you look past the tuners, they were really put together nice. Have a junk Epi somewhere. Have had others. Don't/can't play anymore, but also can't bring myself to get rid of these two. Still have a trailer full of equipment as well.

Fun side note; Breedlove was started here. I remember when they moved into a shop, they were working on a shoestring budget and my old boss did a bunch of stuff for them, and since they had no money they paid him in guitars, lol. They'd get behind in what they owed and he'd let them slide for a few months and then they'd give him a guitar with whatever little bit of cash they had. He wasn't a guitar player, and he always laughed and said they'd never make it, and I don't even know if he kept the custom acoustics they gave him or not. About the time they started to make it, he'd sold the business and moved out of the area. He was a good guy, provided them with what they needed even though he knew they couldn't pay. Wish I'd picked up one or two from them - but I was young then and was only into electrics.

I never understood the venom and hate towards the e-tuners. They weren't THAT bad.

A real monstrosity? When Gibson rolled out their LPs with the crypt keeper Les Paul signature on them.

Pulled this out of a deep, deep, deep slumber. It’s been sitting under my bed for almost 25 years. Purchased new, it was my 17th birthday present from my parents and it’s been barely played as I was a bass player who wanted to have a guitar to mess around with. Other than two tiny, practically unnoticeable dings on it and that it’s missing the Kahler string lock that I stripped the screws on, it’s basically new. I’m on the fence whether to sell it or replace the missing string lock, get it restrung, professionally set up and start playing it.

1986 Charvel model 4.

My dad found this guitar in a flea market in the 1980s. It had been covered in crayon drawings by a child and the starburst finish was marred beyond saving. So he got it for cheap and restored it, opting to let the wood underneath show rather than trying to get it refinished. Her name is Rosemary. She passed to me when he died, and while I'm not as good as my dad was I still get her down and play a few tunes on her and loan her to my closest musician friends from time to time. She's a 1956 Gibson ES-150, according to style and the stamp we found inside the body. I have several other guitars, but this is The Guitar in my household. Pictures taken before I realized she needs a bit of a cleaning, which I'll do in the morning when I'm not two fingers into the woodford reserve.

I always loved those Baja teles! Great find!
I spotted it on the Guitar Center website in the used section. Only $530, and they would ship it across the country to me for $20 and can return locally if needed.
The crazy thing was, the link didn’t work on the GC website, so no one could buy it. I messaged the store in Boise to fix the link and the next day they did…and I bought it. Even crazier was that it was supposed to come with a gig bag but they shipped it in a new Fender hard case…a $180 value!

Scored my first Tele recently, a 2019 Fender Baja with a ‘50s-style neck and custom shop pickups.
Got it for a steal because previous owner tried to relic it with a knife and coarse steel wool. :wow:
After wet sanding and a polish, it’s shiny again.
Nice score! Please tell me you have before and after pics.
