This has gotten a little silly now

Currently, just a 2002 Alvarez RD8 which was my first guitar 20 years ago. I don't play a ton these days and my coffee shop band days ended long ago.

I certainly do miss my Westerly, RI Guild JF4 and my Gibson WM-45. Regret selling the Guild because I'm from Rhode Island, and I do miss the Gibson as well.

My dream guitar is a J-200...I just can't justify the price with how much I play...and how 'good' I am haha

Just a basic Ibanez bass. I'm not a good player at all but I always wanted one and I like to noodle around with it every now and then.

Anyone got a firebird? Always liked the idea of them but wondering if they’re too awkward or heavy to enjoy.

Not a Firebird but had owned an Explorer model, but sold it a year later for the reasons you mentioned.
I saw an explorer for sale locally but it was natural wood finish. If it was white i would have bought it. Difficult to get them left handed.

Always thought the firebird looked better though.

Was the explorer super heavy? Can you play it sitting or is it standing only like a Flying V?

Indeed, options are limited for you left-handed folks. Was it a Gibson?

I was in my Metallica/Hetfield period, an Epiphone (not the real deal). Play it sitting down is not an option or I didn't manage to find a comfortable position, so rather standing only, and besides, I didn't really like the active pickups (personal opinion).

Yeah was a Gibson for £1000 which is decent. I’ve only played passive pups. Purely because I’m terrible at replacing batteries before they leak everywhere  :ROFLMAO:

How does the lemon drop sound? Is that the one with out of phase pups like Peter Green had?

Those Vintage brand guitars are really nice for the money. I’m always impressed with them. There’s a butterscotch tele-style that blew me away.

It is nice to see everyone's collections. Looking at poker chip and guitar collections are two of my favorite pastimes! Although it is more fun to play with both of them. Here is one of my babies. I am a big Stones and Keith fan so I had to get this beauty. It is my version of Keith's guitar. 2017 Pleked Mexican Fender Telecaster with a Seymour Duncan Antiquities humbucker in the neck.

So looks like the TV yellow GLP is running P90's? I've got the ELP version and it's got the P90's and it sounds great. I need to work it back into the rotation ASAP.

Edit: just saw mburnznj P90 confirmation.

Alright, I suppose I can contribute too... don’t have too many left, and they’re old pics (I’ll try to update them later)
And my pride and joy:
1965 Fender Jazzmaster

That is spectacular!
I saw exact same year, make, model, color, for sale at a shop in CO last month. All original for $6500.

Cheaper than many of today's chipsets :)

Can't afford a real jazzmaster so built one from a kit. (minus the top lead/rhythm switch.

Plays and sounds great. Everything is from stock kit except the tuning machines. I decided to go with vintage style for better stability. The P90's manage to crank out a respectable 9.5 ohm / resistance. Have no idea what that really means internally, but the sound is very crunchy and lots of gain before going to the amp; then gets a gain boost thru the amp. Net result is a great classic rock sound that hides my playing flaws :)
