price just went up. In Canada the price would have gone up except our government continues that campaign against political enemies pitching further gun regulation.
All of my Russian surplus came from the Ukraine.

Snagged a case of 762 for $269 back in Jan. Probably the last time we’ll see those prices for a long time.
I just snagged a case of 9mm for $600, and was happy to spend that... $.30/rd is less than I've been paying recently...

OMG, I thought ~$400 Canadian was bad. Used to be ~$225/1000rds, 5.56/223Rem has gone up to 0.60-1.00/rd in most volumes. 22lr has gone up to ~0.12 per round average. Still cheaper than the USA but not for long.

Long story short, what should have been a nice $1200 gun went for just under $2k
The bidding went like this (all at the very end of the auction period of course):
What I hoped to buy it for < What I think it is worth << My planned max bid < My actual max bid < My "go f*** yourself let's see how you like it" bid <<< The actual winning bid
I wasn't in it at the end, Scrooge McDuck and Richie Rich battled it out between themselves.

I wait ~2300 Canadian +13% govt shakedown a couple years ago for mine. Nice revolver, possibly it needs more use but mine consistently drops 3 and holds 3 when trying to empty the cylinder after use. Comparably my S&W model 27 dumps all of the rounds perfectly. If I had to chose between one or the other in a "stress" scenario I would choose the S&W even though I like the look and most everything else about the Python.

Sorry, I have to say something when I see "clip" used instead of "magazine". It is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me.extended clips for these are no longer allowed in my area
because they would melt the gun
Clip=a device used to store individual rounds of ammunition together as a single unit that is then ready for insertion into the magazine of a gun.
Magazine= a device or chamber for holding a supply of cartridges to be fed automatically to breech of a gun
