I wish I were this lucky at cards. I stumbled onto an in-stock (Ruger) Marlin 1895 SBL at a Dunham's Sports location an hour away from me the other night. They had it on sale for $1,299.99. MSRP is $1,479.00 and they've been selling for $2500+ for the last 18 months. Even the people working there said, "Aw man, you're buying that Marlin?!? I'm surprised it was still here." Apparently, they got 3 in stock since they were released and this is the only one that lasted more than a couple of hours.

FWIW, to be sure this post belongs in this forum, observe the chips and boxes surrounding the spot in my basement where I took the photos.View attachment 1136299

That's a very nice gun, glad you got it!

Functional for 2k? What about ammo? Maybe I could get one to show to our Prime Minster....
Pretty sure not functional/no ammo. Military antique. Guy says 1967. I have no idea if it’s even legal to own in California. I’m assuming it’s fine because it’s basically a museum piece but I can’t be 100% sure. Just thought it would be cool to have. Not every day I get the chance to buy an rpg lol. I have zero reference on the price though.

I have no idea if that seller includes parts that add to the price, but a quick search makes me think $2k is a lot.

Again, I have not looked into these so no idea if collectors value country of origin, accessories, etc and expect to pay more for certain ones.

Probably boring to all you Americans with ARs but I picked up this CZ457 / 22LR a while ago for handling rabbits on the property. It shoots really well and the Bushnell Prime is great for the price. Certainly not in love with the lettering etched on the stock, though.

I am a CZ fan
Have both a 452 & 457 trainer with iron sights....both are lasers.

*** CZ actions come tight, be prepared to dump approximately 200rds +/- through any CZ pistol or rifle you buy before seeing/feeling it's TRUE performance.

If anyone tells you they fired a few rounds from their new CZ and it didnt perform, wait for them to sell it to you cheap....shoot it a bit and then she off how well you can shoot their cast off.

Good advice! This is my first CZ although my Dad has an older one he thinks is great.

I must admit, when I first took this to the range I was disappointed. It was brand new and I shot a bunch of various ammunitions thru it and couldn't group anything after sighting in the scope.

However after about 5-6 brands/variety of ammo I got to the Winchester 42gr PowerPoints and the first three shots were in the same hole at 75yrd.

It continues to shoot those rounds in half inch groups without fail. Never missed a rabbit headshot yet

Ordered a Langdon RDO ready Beretta - this is it at the FFL (10 day CA wait) - please pardon the oil splotches - plan on pairing it with a Holosun 509T...
Nice. Have you fired it yet?

I have a Taurus PT92 in stainless that I picked up last fall on a whim... beautiful pistol but I'm not as accurate with it as I am with my Walther or my Sig.

When I worked for a lgs, we found this to be the main reason for lack of sales.

Still a nice looking firearm, regardless.

Yeah it's got some design flaws and at 34 ounces empty, it's pretty impractical.

Plus, the grip is large. For context, I wear a 2xl golf glove and I can't reach the mag release with my thumb.

Still enjoyable to own though.

A snub-nosed .44 magnum? I don't think I've ever seen anything like this before. How's the recoil?
Are you messing with me?…I thought this gun was somewhat of an icon. Annnnyway…I’d rather shoot this than a tiny 380. More mass than Kim kardashians ass, and the grip has enough cushion for the pushin to shoot all day.

Nah man I never knew revolvers chambered in .44 magnum were available that small. .357 is as large as I've ever seen them.

It's worth pointing out that while I like guns, I'm not a 'gun nut'... similar to how I like poker chips but I'm not a Rainman about it like some people around here seem to be.

This is actually one of the smaller calibers in the Alaskan frame…

Just for shits and giggles you should look into the BFR.
