I know that in New York, in addition to stimulus checks there were significant boosts to unemployment benefits. Some people who weren't working were out earning people who were still working through the pandemic. The people that did not get the checks are more vocal but I’m pretty certain 210m adults got a stimulus check out of 250m adults in the USA.
Buy boy, was the word essential a joke. Pretty much meant you worked for a corporations.
Love the chips Jim! Big fan of hawt stamps!
Exactly. Fucking trash. Anyway, not bitter. I digress.I know that in New York, in addition to stimulus checks there were significant boosts to unemployment benefits. Some people who weren't working were out earning people who were still working through the pandemic.
Not sure how many sets sold in this sale so far, but the Lady Luck set only had 10 single table T25 sets. There seem to be significantly more of these Harrah's chips available given there are 6 sets sitting there right now and the limit was 3 per household vs 1 per household in the LL sale.I was just extrapolating the price using the price appreciation on the LL set from 2019 to 2021. It went from ~$1K to $1500 in 2 years and don’t see it declining in price. Sure there are more of these, but also not a ton. They’ll prolly end up consolidating in a few large sets with smaller ones spread around. This decking the available supply with a market that will only increase in demand over time. Might be wrong and sure it’s high, but with those numbers and then what I imagine we will see for future inflation it’s not out of the question (unless you’re discounting back to todays dollars in which case it wouldn’t be a realistic estimate)
You’re also probably making more than an average American (no disrespect meant). Personally as a recipient of all stimulus checks I could’ve bought a very nice Paulson set with them and had money left to play with. I was able to get ~$1K of singles using the money and had a shit ton to put into other things. I’m guessing you got only a few of them, the ones you got were smaller, or maybe got none? I was single and independent when filing those yearsI just have to call out the “stimulus money” thing one more time.
I don’t know about anyone else, but I certainly didn’t get enough stimulus $$$ to even buy some cheap ceramics, let alone a Paulson set.
Ah that would make more sense on the price appreciation. I didn’t know the numbers, but I assumed it was a lot less than this. Imo these will see a period of consolidation where they are collected into large sets for a small number of collectors. I am thinking this will provide the earliest opportunity to realize any price appreciation as these buyers tend to drive prices up. Once this happens things will settle out and then prices will find their place. But with these I do think they’ll land in the hands of collectors that will only sell at a high price. Even more for the HARRAHS ones. Those ones you’re fucked if you want to get themNot sure how many sets sold in this sale so far, but the Lady Luck set only had 10 single table T25 sets. You know, I need to see how many LL chips I actually have since I can't remember .... good reminder lolNot sure how many sets sold in this sale so far, but the Lady Luck set only had 10 single table T25 sets. Definitely a reasonable suggestion, I wasn't sure If I should be weighting the remainder towards certain denoms or disperse evenly. I'll keep an eye out and see what happens. Thanks for the response. You have prices for the 5s and 500s
Subtract those and divide by 360 (1/25/100)
closest you will get to something unknown lol.
Me too! Jim works fastThanks Jim, gotten my email and shipment tracker
Just need to wait about 1 week or so for them now

Can I be next?
100%I will say a new member joining the last few days certainly lucked out to have a chance to get one of these
When I joined solid jack cincy white labels (39mm) tourney chips were still available and I was thrilledI will say a new member joining the last few days certainly lucked out to have a chance to get one of these
When the T5s are de-foiled, I believe the imprint from the stamp will be fairly prominent, so my guess is if the stamp is too close to the edge for shape milling, you'll be able to see the imprint from the stamp. But I gladly defer to @Gear on this one .Great idea and if you really want to put in the work couldn’t you defoil then mill shape? @Gear
This is so not the PCF way100%
If I was starting from scratch I would pick these up no question. Just in too deep with other stuff at this point

For shits and giggles even though I suck at math.Definitely a reasonable suggestion, I wasn't sure If I should be weighting the remainder towards certain denoms or disperse evenly. I'll keep an eye out and see what happens. Thanks for the response.

You also have the T25 sets to work off of and those don't include the T1s, so it gives you a better understanding of the T25 and T100 values and those values can then be applied to the cash set to "solve for T1".
T25 set is $1850.
$1850 - $600 (t1Ks) - $400 (T500s) - $200 T5Ks (based on $200/barrel price for the T25Ks) ='s $650 for the T25s and T100s. Assuming the T100s are worth a little more than the T25s and that there is a slight discount in purchasing a set over purchasing individual racks, ballpark guess you're looking at $3.50/chip for the T100s and $3/chip for the T25s.
Cash Set is $1750.
$1750 - $600 (T5s) -$300 (T25s) - $210 (T100s) - $160 (T500s) ='s $480 for the 2 racks of T1s. Again, assuming a slight discount in purchasing a set over purchasing individual racks, ballpark guess for the T1s is $2.50/chip. Which seems pretty low considering the T1s may be the scarcest chip in the Harrah's Casino set for denominations T1-T1K depending on how many cash sets there were. I seriously doubt anyone is selling their T1s for $2.50/chip.
Please do not trust my math.
So what does that make a sample set worth? Lmao
