I think that there are more out there than two or three. I believe that these typically come in a lucite block. Is yours in a block? Can you remove it without damage? Unfortunately, it’s a chipco commemorative, and it had little demand. Further, very few people collect $100 commemorative chips from Iowa. As such, even if it were one of a kind, the demand for it is very limited.

he thinks he's sitting on a fortune....with a commemorative chipco promo chip....
it did come in Lucite case and yes removable. i am sitting on a little gold mine. I paid $1.35 since it was removable why couldn't someone have cashed it in. I would think not too many people had one so they thought they couldn't remove it. There for i believe it was cashable at any given time for $100 when Casino was open. After hurrah's took over, they sent the riverboat (Kanesville Queen) to a recycle Co.
Gulf Island Shipyard in Houma, Louisiana, to add a 60-foot midsection, creating a new riverboat called the American Countess2. This new vessel is part of the American Queen Steamboat Company's fleet and debuted in April 20202.

It's fascinating how they repurposed the Kanesville Queen, when it was Harveys it had to leave dock couple times a day as part of agreement i did get to ride her. Thought it would get some riverboat collectors attention and go on a cruse dont sha know. would it be worth $2 more with the lititure

Perhaps it was cashable. I don’t know. I wish you the best with it, and hope that you get what you think it’s worth.

A commemorative chip by Chipco you refer as would not be redeemable for $ would it? at the casino. It would be labeled a limited edition like a $5 Sammy Hagar commemorative, no? Chipco did make the other $100 Harvey's chip also just different material satin inlay and a linen inlay, I would think you could have gambled with both as $100 cash could, not a worthless commemorative chip your thinking it could be. But i am here for info i only own 1 and learning. Help me out it would be rarer if redeemable and never used just kept in mint state. ??

i thank you kindly, i dont know if i want to sell her. i have been offered 10 times the amount already.
If you have been offered $1,000 for it, I would take it. That’s an offer that’s not likely to be repeated.

Some one on market place posted this site as (if you need any info on casino chips to look here) I do believe we will get to the bottom of this 4 year quest one way or another for me.

this site is more for set collectors. while there are people here who are singles collectors as well, you're probably better posting on https://www.ccgtcc.com/index.aspx

but many of the people on here are knowledgeable about wet chips so if you were offered $200, thats probably the most i've ever heard offered for a wet chipco commemorative.

you say Chipco like they make commemorative chips only, i thought they stepped up and made high quality casino gaming chips for Casinos and offer security etched chips in value of $100 or more for casinos? and are in demand and what is a wet chip? i did post mine on ccgtcc site that's where i got the picture and the less than 10 known after that they listed it as limited edition and even told them how to remove it from the Lucite as you notice a different pic as the one i posts since and located in limited edition one of the members there has one also

Yes, Chipco does make $100 casino chips1! These high-denomination chips are often used for high-limit tables and VIP players in casinos2. They're a key part of the glamorous gaming experience in many casinos.

Chipco makes nice chips. That said, the really expensive collectible chips tend to be clay chips back from the golden age 1950s and 1960s Reno and Las Vegas casinos.

There is not a big amount of collectors compared to other hobbies, so plenty of older chips sell for just a few dollars. In my opinion, you should sell that chip immediately for $200 if that offer is on the table.

"Wet" refers to chips used on a boat casino. I bought a huge set of Chipco chips from a retired casino in Aruba for 12.5 cents each. I often see Chipco casino chips going for 10-25 cents each in bulk. And yes, most people at this site are trying to buy large quantities and put together playable sets of chips.

Those aren’t gulf markets. Or gull marquees.

Those are crap chips from Walmart. But you may think they are extremely valuable since nobody has cashed them in.

You do you man. Nothing wrong with going through life with misconceptions, 99% of the population does, so you should feel good about being in the majority.

no offense but I don't remember asking for estimates or price range, just if anyone had any knowledge as to its existence.
No need to remember, you typed it out. Been here 10 mins and you feel compelled to be rude? #shame

I doubt they're truly that rare. And rarity alone doesn't mean anything. I have "1 of 1", "1 of 25", etc. baseball cards that aren't really worth anything. There has to also be demand. Lots of things are rare, but it doesn't mean they're desirable. That Harvey's chip is a nothing burger.

You are not in possession of the holy grail. That chip is not the T206 Honus Wagner of the chip collecting world. I bet everyone here other than you would rather have a 1989 Dunes $1 chip (that usually sells for around $10) rather than that Harvey's chip of yours. If you like it, then great...enjoy it.

Extremely unlikely that only five chips were made. Given the production process, at least 25 chips were initially produced... and probably many more than that.

So why do so few still exist today? Because they were not considered valuable enough to keep.

doe's anyone you know have one or doe's anyone you know on this site, or do you have pics of this one any site, at any time range, or proof other than what i have posted. IF SO?
