Have Chinese cards mold replica sets gone too far? (4 Viewers)

And look at the Monster we helped make. A sad day indeed. It’s like never acknowledging the killing that goes on in the drug trade, or pretending that our money isn’t fueling that whole machine.

We reap what we have sown.
Yes, fake poker chips is exactly like selling people into lifelong sex slave bondage or being directly responsible for genocide, it’s exactly that, you’re a fucking genius.

(Meanwhile, flippers run rampant and nobody will call them out publicly for reasons that are both frustratingly baffling and idly hilarious)

Well, not all of us.
Edit: this comes with a touch of hypocrisy. I’ve definitely contributed on occasion.

Is your position essentially 'if you're not part of the solution you're part of the problem' or 'silence is complicity'?

I think it's a gigantic stretch comparing a copycat poker product with a health/crime/social issue.

A closer comparison would be something within this hobby. Perhaps what appears to be part of the current culture of the hobby: the complete indifference to IP that seems to be rampant on this forum.

The culture that has lead to folk's enthusiasm for direct copies they label as 'tributes'. Stickers of old and existing casino chips slapped onto chips. Or ceramics with exact designs or ridiculous 'alterations' that are still basically 100% copies. (Ie. Aria's vs Aria).

There are already many vendors profiting while using images, logos, etc. owned by other companies (Nintendo, Horseshoe, Jack, etc). I don't recall seeing anyone angry with BR Pro for profiting off of Nintendo's IP.

I would agree with 'We reap what we have sown' if you're referring to this nonsense.

Anyone who is suddenly drawing the line with these TinaHC chips, you've been willfully blind to the nonsense that has been going on for years.

I think that’s exactly what he was saying.
And for the record, of course the Nintendo chips are bullshit. As are 90% of the dealer buttons that exist here.

I wonder why you always try to derail the conversations that get serious or heated. Is it like a “I don’t like it when mom and dad yell” sort of thing?
Same reason you complain on like 2/3 the post here. We all have our roles in the circle of life of PCF.

It's a ecosystem.
