Have Chinese cards mold replica sets gone too far? (2 Viewers)

PCF cat wrangler still available?
I'm looking for a new gig..
I'll need to see a resume....with a cover letter.

And I have some forms you gotta fill out that need information from your resume and cover letter....

Actually yes. How you perceive that blue may be different, but the if the wavelengths are the same than the blue is the same. :)
But he didn't say is the blue objectively the same, they said the one they saw. I think that separates the two; soon as I say "the one I see", that speaks to how my brain processes those wavelengths.

I guess we can say that we are talking specifically about what wavelengths reached our eyes but the mysterious part is what happens after they hit us. Been dealing with this with sound, trying to explain how we know a certain sound comes from a certain animal from the physics, not from the bird-watching-ears lol.

Forms are for doctors and city slickers... we have no use for them out on the range

Take this shit to an OT thread, this thread isn't trying to derail flippers.
I’m sure PCF has a rule against this kind of thread-derailing, but I’m also sure the mods have better things to do with their lives. Shrug.

I will say that, as a new member, it is interesting to read what others think about these kinds of chips. I don’t feel like I have enough insight to have an opinion, but it is very informative!

What we feel like when some of you keep posting meaningless posts and keep getting reports.

For the record, I haven’t reported anything. I take my complaining directly to the people.
And to keep this vaguely on topic, I’ll raise with this piece of hilarity from a recent button group buy. No need to worry about all the other knocked off artists’ art, but let’s make sure we get approval from our PCF artists.

So - real question - is this a bigger threat to PCF chipping, or a bigger threat to production of clay chips for casinos over the long term given the increased counterfeiting risk and will accelerate the transition to all electronic games?

Does TPS actually do the printing themselves? Marked with a 45 day turnaround, that seems like it's air freight direct from Tina herself.

What's odd is that the HC mold he has listed as .03 per chip LESS than the cards mold.

And for the record, of course the Nintendo chips are bullshit. As are 90% of the dealer buttons that exist here.
For the buttons at least, I don’t see many casinos having branded DBs, so I do think having a branded DB is “value added” in my opinion (and there’s no chance to “cheat” someone with a button, since it does not represent any monetary value).

My guess is he found a different vendor than Tina. If you look on Alibaba or any other Chinese site, there are quite a few manufacturers.

My guess he's just submitting the art on a customer's behalf and it gets ship direct to the customer.

Dude is probably just a middleman carving out his 2¢ per chip.

I watch those GB's and look for the buttons I had created. I missed this one which has some of the artwork I had created through an old-time vendor.

Not shocking. Because nobody seems to care. But that’s the culture we’ve created, or at the very least allowed to thrive. @BPTDirector

I think the buttons are even another layer to the copycat madness. If it's original artwork that's original, it should have sign off from the owner. If it's "original" insomuch as someone traced over a casino logo and now claims ownership of that artwork because they created the source file, is that ownership that needs to be approved for print on a button GB?

I don’t know the specifics of the legalities, but if the “someone who traced” is collecting a royalty for their tracing (like I’ve read they do on the Tina chip group buys) that would seem relevant to the conversation.

I ran a dealer button group buy for a defunct casino (Mapes) a while back.. (not for profit.. took a loss)
artwork was done by a member here and obviously gleaned from the original Mapes artwork
Buttons had already been made with the artwork, but I tweaked a couple of things on the images for my GB.
wonder where this falls on the scale for unauthorized use of IP
