Hey everyone. I’m yet another poor soul who though I could do a quick google search for some ‘nice’ poker chips to upgrade my dice(like) chips… and ended up here! Now I realize that I NEED some nicer chips, probably a custom label set, with every denomination available to cover every game I might ever play, even though I hardly ever play. I’ve browsed through enough threads on here to know this is a mine field of a topic but am open to any suggestions from anyone on the “best bang for the buck” chips out there. Thanks all!

Welcome to the forum. Where at in ND? I spent three years there in the late 80's and early 90's. I was stationed at both of the Air Force bases. It was interesting.

I haven’t played much lately but am hoping to get something going, probably just a small cash game to start with. How about you?
 
Have a cash game but took a break for heart surgery so currently healing up but will be back in the mix this summer

I hope your recovery goes well. When you run your game what do you play (pot limit, no limit, other), what do you do for buy in(s), and what’s your starting chip breakdown?
 
Hello from your neighbor to the South. Personally I'd have preferred to retire closer to Minot but my wife said South Dakota was as far North as she was willing to go so we are and we love it

Every time I am in SD it makes me want to move there. It’s beautiful. Are you on the east or west side of the state?
 
Sorry, clicked a BUNCH of wrong buttons. I’ve always wanted to try hunting down in that area.
 
I suppose the traffic on this thread will be pretty low but if anyone wants to share what they do for their small cash games I would love to hear it. Please include number of players, blinds, buy in, and chip quantities. Thanks in advance!

There is a great resource called the poker chip calculator as well. Cool tool to play around with and break down what you need based on your game
