Another vote for quarter cask.
Another vote for Oban 14.
I like St Germaine in an Irish Maid (whiskey, St G, muddled cucumber, lime juice and simple).my wife had me buy that St Germaine for some cocktails. That stuff is gross. Hahha. But thumbs up for bruichladdich
One of my absolute favorite peated whiskies: Longrow Peated. Not a peat monster, but lovely peat and wispy smoke.
Oban 14 is a good choice too.
Or:
Talisker 10
Just skimmed, but +1 for this. Laphroaig is my go to. Can never go wrong. Except for maybe the select lol
Maker's Mark...scotch sucks!
The Quarter Cask can be had for $50/bottle
Maker's Mark...scotch sucks!
Michigan is a tad more expensive
I'm checking out my local grocer. They have Laphroaig quarter cask for 75 bucks which exactly fits my budget .
They also have
Oban Little Bay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 750ML for 70 bucks
Oban 14 for 90
I might be picking up one of these today
Oh man... MI prices SUCK!! The Quarter Cask is $55 in most places and the Oban 14 just a tad more. Ugh!
The Quarter Cask is a totally different animal than the Obans. The former is a peat monster the other two, subtle with a little bit of peat. Picking depends on taste and what one is looking for. If I was choosing (not that it matters), I'd go for the Quarter Cask, and I'm no Oban hater.
Michigan prices definitely suck. This isn't on my dime. It's s thank you for an internal reship
Bill you check Meijer?
I wonder how many people get this joke...
I think this is a solid choice. One of the best all-around, all-weather peated whiskies.Bill, based on what you desire, I will cast another vote for the Talisker 10 yr
Bill, let me know what you want and I’ll send you a bottle. They all cost around £30 here. Don’t know what postage is but I can find out
I'm glad someone didI wonder how many people get this joke...
