Help requested: Looking for a name for my poker room (1 Viewer)

I like using Ben's Den. Seems to have great meaning to you.

Otherwise, I favor using something more unique to you like if you have a nickname. Using your forum username for example, Benjaminotaur's Labyrinth/Lair/Cave

in Canada that would be worth 3 to 6 Million+ depending where its located/features. Hopefully you got a much better deal than our inflated market here. Today I could not afford my current house as it has appreciated over 4x my purchase price 12 years ago, I'd be homeless renting if I didn't own already.

Thank you! The trees are healthy from what we've been told, but the neighbors had an issue a few years ago, so we're holding our breath until we can get someone to give us a good inspection. We kinda fell into this house on accident because it was pretty rough on the inside. Someone LOVED wallpaper, and the house was pretty full when we were walking through. I definitely had to talk my wife past all the surface blemishes before she bought in. Luckily it didn't take too much. We got a good deal on it to boot, so as long as the market doesn't totally tank, we should be in good shape. I wish we could have bought 5 years ago though like we had hoped
 
I'd like to thank everyone for their feedback and ideas thus far! It's been fun seeing what everyone gravitates towards, and there are definitely a few things and names I hadn't considered before starting.

I especially like @SeanGecko's suggestion to not use Poker Room in the name. It'll be used for a lot of things beyond playing poker, so using something else seems to hit the right notes. Below are some of the names I'm bouncing around, and the "locations" I might link with it.

Forest Park
Labyrinth
Root Cellar
Roots
Casa Grande
Flagstone
Dozen Oaks
Rusty Rake

Lounge
Gambling Den
Gaming Hall
Poker Club

As of right now, I don't think the name will show up on a set of poker chips. I've got plenty of sets lining up that I'm really excited about, and I feel like if I were to put the effort into designing a brand new poker set with the room name on them, I'd either not use them or not use the others. BUT it will likely find it's way to cut cards, coasters, chair seats, and signage. So I've got room to play with when it comes to the name since I won't need to cram it on a 7/8" label. I'm also not opposed to linking a couple of the above together i.e. ___________ Lounge and Poker Club

My thoughts exactly. There is also Forest Park Poker Club.

Going off the den, Ben's Gambling Den or Ben's Poker Den. That was probably already mentioned, hard to sift through all of the posts.

When I think of old trees or forests the word lodge comes to mind. That could be good. Ben's Poker Lodge, Forest Park Poker Lodge. Something like that.

Some of these aren’t helping my PTSD from this first fall, as spot on as they may be. This wasn’t the first construction project I had in mind when we moved in

That is one of three pyramids I built this year. The city won’t let us sweep leaves into the street, and they won’t take them unless they’re in compostable bags.

Needless to say, a mulching mower is on the horizon at The Casa Grande

As much as I would love to torch them into oblivion and add some new names to the list, the city won’t let us do that either.

If our house was another block and a half away we’d be in city of Pleasant Prairie, and they’ll let you do all the things our city won’t. I’d lose the Forest Park moniker, but would arguably add an equally good naming option

I was wondering the same thing. It gives it a different feel. I can't imagine there aren't other gambling dens, but is it because it has a negative connotation?

We have 14 Oak trees on our lot, but I figured I'd cut that number short in case we lose a few in a storm :oops:

I fed these options into ChatGPT and asked it for new names, with extra points for puns and alliteration. Most of them were garbage. But these are pretty good:

Oaks and Aces
Flagstone Flush Lounge
The Acorn Ante Chamber
Big House Bluff
The Lucky Leaf
