Help with background info on Casino Aztar MO Missouri 25s / $25 and 100s /$100 chips (1 Viewer)

Hello helpful people!

I am going to put up for sale some Casino Aztar Missouri 25s and 100s for sale that were acquired unused and have stayed in my closet for ~ 15 years. Pictures are at bottom.

I had a lot of appreciation for giving heaps of background on some other chips I am selling here. So I would like to do the same when I put the Aztars up. Any info is helpful. I think I may have got them from someone who bought them from Jim at @TheChipRoom .

General info is welcome but in addition I have the following questions:

1. Can you tell me or point me to any knowledge source about the Casino Aztar (Missouri) Itself? I get 100s of hits when I search so I would appreciate some quality pointers.
2. The Aztar MO 25s are mint secondaries I believe but could use verification
3. What are these Aztar MO $100 chips? Primaries? Secondaries?
4. Take a close look at the 3rd picture with a of the chips face up. Most of the chips are clean on one at the bottom you can see some markings that look like they came from the edge of one chip scratching the face of another. 5 are pretty much worse than rest. Since the chips seem otherwise unused I wonder if this came from some incident where they came crashing together. Is there se widely known incident where this happened to these chips in particular? The other side of the chips are similar. Some have no marks on either side. Some one side and a few both.
5. If anyone knows of recent sales and would like to point me towards them I would love to get an idea how to price them.
6. There was one sale a few months ago for about 840 chips at $8.10 each on average but most were lower denominations and 200 of the 840 were (less valuable?) I think that the $100s should go for a bit more than the average and the $25s for less. Is that right?

$25s are mint secondaries.
$100s are used primaries.
Those marks come from them using a chip to check to see if each barrel is a full in a rack.

Your $25s look to be in excellent condition but probably not mint. Your $100s are primary and that crap on the faces is a pain in the ass to get rid off. Oxyclean magic eraser doesn’t work on it. I had to scrape it off these primary $25s with effectively an ice pick over a long time.

Sec $25s sell for around $7/chip per my most recent acquisitions, Primary $100s probably $4-10 depending on who's looking for them lol

That was my set and I miss it already lol.

Regarding the listing, Aztar $1s are considered some of the best $1s out there and any spotted $5 with shaped inlays will command a premium. The $25s are still quite desirable but they pop up on occasion.

I’d agree with @kmccormick100 and say $7-8 for the $25s and likely around the same for the used primary $100s. All great chips!
