Fellow Floridian here, if you’re ever in the central area you’re welcome to come check out my sets and samples. Although I don’t have any AS, I’m just finishing up my Paris set which could give you a feel for THC chips.

Horribly boring inlay. Never liked these at all. Colors of the chips are fine but the inlay is such a turnoff.

That’s my main criticism too. I’ve always assumed it’s because this was the closest to an actual group buy, of any of the NAGBs. The other ones were all run by one or a few people, so they designed inlays they liked and everybody bought them because they were mint THCs with cool colors. The Stars though (again, as far as I know) they had a whole bunch of “investors,” like maybe 30 or 40ish in on it before hand, so they had to design an inlay that everybody could live with. And when you’re trying to satisfy a big group of people, what you end up with isn’t going to be very interesting.
