This is a great question! I mean, it's one thing to say that "There are a lot of $5s" ... but maybe there are only a lot of primary $5s, while there's an extremely limited quantity of secondaries.

Historically this info isnt given until all inventory is sold. That said, I'd love to know what % of the primary chips are mint...

I can see why they won't give exact quantities pre-sale, sure, but knowing something even as vague as "25 secondaries are quite small compared to 25 primaries" or "25 primaries mint are not very many compared to used" would help us plan out our purchase.

There are LOTS of chips. Historically, the sale percentages are a good relative indicator across denoms, and most casinos order secondary sets that are about half the size of the primary set.

Newbie here. I think I might partake in this sale to replace my ceramics that I have on my craps table. I'm probably looking at 1500 chips. I didn't see any info regarding shipping. What are we looking at for that cost? Any other tips or info the vets around here might have, is also much appreciated.

We ship USPS Flat Rate boxes. 1500 chips would take 2 boxes at $15.95 each

That is why these sales are so emotional, spending days to figure out if you are going to buy or not, what you will buy, etc. Then sit down to buy at the sale, move SUPER fast to get your order entered in 20 seconds, just to see SOLD OUT.

Not a complaint, just the reality of everyone wanting these chips. I REALLY appreciate Jim bringing these to us at a great price and trying to impose fair limits, I dont think he has to. These chips will sell either way.

Just want to help first time buyers prepare, just because you eventually decide you want to shell out a lot of $$$ for chips, there is only a slim chance you will get what you want if you are going for in demand chips (fracs, $500+).

$1s, $5s, $25s, and $100s will be no problem, and even if some items do sell out, more chips usually get added to the sale inventory periodically, and usually at the 1-hour mark when percentage restrictions are lifted.

Those with reasonable expectations and a little patience are very likely to get what they want.

If I submit an order that includes 25 fracs, and the rest are $1's, $5's, $25's. Let just say the fracs are sold out but the rest are not. When i hit pay/submit or whatever i need to click in order to buy, will a message pop up specifically telling me that just the fracs are sold out?? Then do i have to delete/remove the fracs from my order and hit pay/submit again? Thanks

Haha, I had to look this up before making this decision. I'd suggest you do the same . In short, what I gathered is the RHC has the tophats nearer to the edge and are more prone to chipping and they have a larger inlay area. THC, smaller inlay, outer ring outside the tophats. There's more, but as mentioned, I'd do a quick search and you'll find the info.
