Hot Stamped Bourbon CPC's (2 Viewers)

Feel free to throw some mock ups out there if you want. It has to work with the 1 and 20, and has to be a three color chip

Thanks!!! I hadn't seen that before.

What do you think of the chips? stamps? colors? ect....... our tastes usually differ a little bit anyways.

Oh, and how was dinner tonight?

I love a good hot stamp. I love the denoms. Not a bourbon fan but that didn't stop me from enjoying your QP set. The colors don't blow me away but I've never been able to really come up with a yellow five that I care for. Mostly due to the cpc color palette.

I know our taste is vastly different though. My taste differ from most lol. Pretty sure you hated the mock up of the inlay I'm working on.

Dinner was good, we had a nice night in Ann Arbor tonight. Was nice to get out in the warmer weather.

Yellow is tough. I can't help myself, I'm now messing with your ideas.

I am a huge fan of the HHR mold too, I think you said it was one you are considering but I've never seen or handled a set of the Jockey molds and would love to.

@Darson. Go ahead bud, tear it apart
Honestly Bill, these just look like a damn mess. Did you put any thought into it or are you expecting us to do all the work for you?

PS, I’m drunk. My new cocktail is called the ‘grateful husband’ and its 2oz sloe gin, 1oz Cointreau and a couple dashes of angostura bitters. Shake over ice and enjoy.

Bill, I agree with @Darson, these are a bit of a mess.

The $1 and $100 use muted colors, and the $5 and $20 want to go to the disco. I don't think you want both in the same set.

I kinda like the vibe of the $1, with the hotstamp. But I played around with muting the $5 and $20 to have a similar vibe, and it's pretty tough.

@liftapint , @Darson , or hell, anyone, is the most recent mock up an improvement in your eyes?

The primary chips on the table will be the ones and fives. I like the base black and base canary together. I don't "love" the peacock blue as a spot color in this set, but I tried every color and nothing is an improvement. As for the 20's, at most, there is a two barrels on the table. That's only when certain players are present.

For some reason to me, the $1 and $5 just don't work. How about something like this...

Your original on top, something closer on the bottom. Not sure why, but I am really struggling with your 1/5 combo. Not sure my suggestion is a lot better. But I just can't get behind that original $1

Ack, I don't like mine either.

In fact, I deleted it, I hated it.

Arg. I can't help. This set needs muted colors and I'm not good at that.

The thing is. I already had a muted color bourbon set. I want something a little louder this time, but with chips that I like. Could it flow better, absolutely, fuck it lol.

I also probably have awhile before I have to decide. Its quite possible it will change 43 more times (except for the 1, its locked in)

Change the $1 then. It just doesn't work with the 5/20. Liven that damn thing up.

I appreciate the input. A tri moon is a must for the one dollar chip. What other base color do you suggest?

black-based tri-moon is fine. Just liven up those spot colors. Try ditching the white to something else, and changing the DG peach to DG arc yellow. Brighten it up to match the other chips.

Great idea. I think that would limit my color palette. All the bourbons I like are in brown or white bottles lol
Orange label for Bulleit, and green label for Bulleit Rye. Indeed, a limiting factor.
You could try a DG Arc Yellow on the $5 anyway, though.

Yeah, but the color palette works well together. You could play with those colors and vary the spot patterns. I think this idea would work well, and is in line with what I was saying.
