I am trying to figure out how my scanner can misrepresent colors so badly. Seems like day glow colors, especially yellow, orange and red. Anyone have an idea about how it can be fixed or am I just going to have to take pictures of chips instead of scanning them???

Interesting, maybe try reset it and do a print test, that's weird how the colors comes out totally different

According to posts on The Chip Board, Epson's CCD flatbed scanners are excellent -- even the cheap ones.

Well, sounds like I'm in the market for a cheap CCD scanner. Taking pictures is very time consuming. My current scanner has great software to crop and export the pictures. Hopefully the others will work similarly.

Thanks Tommy and Abby99!

I use Adobe Photoshop Elements, as recommended on The Chip Board. I can scan around 20 chips at a time, crop each one as a perfect circle, and rotate the image. Although the software is easy to use, I can send you some tips that were provided to me by one of the TCB members. This is the software that I used to resize and prep the individual chip images on several CT calendars.
