Another advantage of dealing all three cards down and then 'flopping them' is that there is no chance of accidentally exposing any cards when flipping over more than one card (if doing it one-at-a-time).

Yet another benefit - if there's an error while dealing the three cards down, you can fix it before flopping them. Last card came off as a double? Forgot to burn? Easily fixed before anything is exposed, and everyone can agree to any irregularities before the cards matter.
