I now have about 480 chip scans being used in each mosaic. Do you have closeups of chips?Do you need more pictures for this?

How about using closeups of dealer buttons? See my signature for about 700 of them.I now have about 480 chip scans being used in each mosaic. Do you have closeups of chips?
No problem, when you’re ready, just PM me a photo you would like done and an idea what size poster you would like and I’ll set it upI know this is just rehashing what everyone has been saying for like 2 years now, but holy shit, this is just the raddest thing. I'm going to try to get some photos of my ceramics that don't suck to add into the mix, and then have something made for print. Maybe a giant Bally's $5 chip made out of thousands of tiny chips, or a picture of Bally's Vegas facade as-is before it's rebranded, because I'm still feeling nostalgic for the place given the recent rebrand news.
Thanks for making this possible, @Colquhoun!
I like it! Send me a photo via PM and I’ll run a few trials. How about using closeups of dealer buttons? See my signature for about 700 of them.
A dealer button mosaic sounds like it’s right in my wheelhouse.
Great images, thanks!I do have some. Like these, if they would work. Not white background though, but should be easy enough with photoshop or something?

LOL I was going to ask this the other day. More fitting that the suggestion comes from you, though! How about using closeups of dealer buttons? See my signature for about 700 of them.

I’d like to see that as wellThis is really cool!!
Have you tried making DDLM mosiacs using only DDLM chips?
I don't know if that would come out very good. It's only a sample size of like eight total chips? I would think that would not nearly be enough to offer the fidelity that would be needed in a high resolution print. This is really cool!!

Actually, I’ve already been working with them on this project! Interestingly, even through they have a ton of different chips, it takes a lot to make an accurate image. Like you said, fidelity to the color is sacrificed unless you have a LOT of different chips.I don't know if that would come out very good. It's only a sample size of like eight total chips? I would think that would not nearly be enough to offer the fidelity that would be needed in a high resolution print.
But with that said, using his entire spectrum of chip images to produce one of a DDLM would be epic and is a fantastic idea! My vote would be for either the flying dead baby, or the pirate.
These are great! If you have more, you can send in a PM, or you can email meNot sure if these are usable, bit here's a bunch more.

Have you made any photos of playing cards? Posters of face cards might be cool.
It probably could work, but since the artwork is so detailed, much might get lost in the mosaic effect. What may work better is if I do a closeup of the king or queen.Have you made any photos of playing cards? Posters of face cards might be cool.
Yeah, I was wondering about how much whitespace would impact it. Like the idea of a close up of the faces. If it comes out ok, I'd be interested in the faces of the 4 kings. Very cool of you to do this by the way.It probably could work, but since the artwork is so detailed, much might get lost in the mosaic effect. Worth trying, thanks!
In order to get a good mosaic from a highly detailed item like a chip, the poster needs to be big, and the original image cropped tight.
