Watching a Recent Poker VLOG on the tubes, and I think I see a public card room - The Fort - using Cards Mold chips with intensional Non Aligned Edge Spots.

I am new to chipping, so I thought Cards Mold was a Generic Mold for anyone to use.

Is this what it appears to be?

Did Tina Make These?

Are these Tina rejects?

I must be seeing things. Say this isn't so...

Has this already been discussed here? What is the Story?

Edge spots weren't intentionally misaligned. Whoever ordered these didn't ask for alignment. Almost certainly not rejects.

Odds are 95% of the players at this card room don't even notice, and the remainder don't really care.

I think a few of the Texas card rooms have been ordering Tina cards mold as they are relatively inexpensive and serve their purposes just fine.

The glossiness and sharper edges are throwing me, interested to hear what the smart people have to say…
If they have glossy edges, they might be Sunfly - their ceramics have glossy edges and they originated the cards mold (Tina simply stole it, because she does that.)
As for the edge spots, alignment is typically an upcharge.

I'd rather have dice chips but maybe that's just my OCD talking and really disliking cards mold as well.
I own a single cards mold chip and will never by choice buy another unless in a lot to get something else.

Tina doesn't charge for edge alignment, at least she didn't when I got mine, so would be odd to have misaligned edges from her but obviously quite possible. The 2 colour one, (cream and green), isn't just misaligned but the wrong way up - most likely both sides are using the same design and therefore not making allowances for the fact that doing that means you can't do the edges right on that type of spot. ... or something like that anyway?

(I've never been a fan of cards mold - went for the textured no-molds myself)
