I was busy this week so just saw this now. Wow exciting times we live in. Those 5s and 500s are insane.

Agreed. Although I feel like most in here won't be aiming to gouge people judging by the sales I've seen lately.
Wait until the first auction. Those are very public about the pricing. Once the auction sets the price most of the remaining sales go for that price. Unless you deal with a super-awesome member (and there are a few), anyone selling for less is just leaving money on the table.

A couple of questions: Can anybody that's been through this describe the mechanics of the purchase? Will the link be in an edit to this thread or a new thread? And for orders after an hour, is there some sort of official "rope drop" or I just make sure I hit the buy button after 3 o'clock? So excited to get my hands on such a cool set of mint Paulsons.

any suggested racks to keep these in the best condition?

Chipco racks fit minty THC the best, followed by a much sungger Paulson rack. I'm not sure anyone has ever had racks of mint, unused RHCs before, so they may have a slightly different thickness.

Paulson 24010 racks work great! Made a bit snugger than Chipco racks on purpose to still fit the chips snugly as they start to wear through use. I could be wrong but I thought the Casino Cancuns were actually unused mint? Was also at MGM Springfield on opening night though when they were handing out uncirculated racks still. Definitely a snug fit but that type of "oh that's a nice fit" type of snug :D

@TheChipRoom but what if i use my canadian paypal but wish to use my address in the us to save on shipping?? Paypal does nit allow me to use a us address.

I will be in the same boat. So if I send a note after the transaction that is ok?

setup an ebay.com account and in there setup a USA shipping address then link everything to your paypal account.... works for me to have US addresses available for sales through online vendors who accept paypal as a form of payment. However, this method does not work for using paypal directly to send payments for goods and services it only works through a vendors "pay with paypal" type buttons in their order processing areas. In this case, it will work with the vendor links that will be provided, you can double check with the chip exchange pages.

Silly question, and I'm hoping there's a precedent.

Any idea what the shipping charge would be for a 500 chip set to the UK?

Was directed here by a friend and this seems like a great opportunity to pick up a high quality unique set.

Thank you!

It’s too bad that there isn’t a way that a couple of options for 500 or 1000 chip base sets with standard breakdowns could be created for immediate purchase on the day of the sale.

For example - a T1000, a T5000 and a T10000 for the tourney peeps and a .25/.50 and a 1/2 cash set.

Even if they were at a premium to the per chip prices I bet they’d sell like crazy and relieve a lot of anxiety! Not to mention minimizing all the pm’s and deal making...and the inevitable talk of “chip flipping” when people try to unload what they had to buy to get what they wanted but the market has set new pricing.

Could even have the ratios set with potential add ons of the loose chips too.

Just a thought I had in the shower tonight and appreciate the opportunity to buy in any format at all!

With you on that one sir. Personally I also think it would make the initial sale smoother, easier and pave way for more reasonable pricing after it’s all said and done.

As someone who doesn’t have the bankroll to buy the cash breakdown I want during the first hour ($2700+ vs $1700 actual)...I hope you all save me some $1’s, $5’s, $25’s and $100’s for the start of hour 2.
