Holding back $5’s?
Not involved in the sale, but I'm going to casually scan eBay to find when these hit the site.
Anyone want to guess the over/under on these chips hitting the auction scene?
Depends which chips. There will be common chips ($1, $5, etc) almost immediately, which is fine since you have to buy a balanced set in order to get the less-common chips. I suspect it will be a while before the sought-after chips (prim $500, 25c, etc.) show up. At least it had better be a while.

Ya that's what he said in the OP. But it was long after the run on chips was over, so I just figured I'd try to see if they would check out because I hadn't gotten an error on them. But you coudln't pair them with other denoms as those were out.

Thanks Jim for this offering. Not perfect but again felt like I had equal opportunity relative to how much I wanted to spend.
That did not go well. PayPal behaving erratically, dropping quantities, adding things I didn't click on directly ... wheee.

I think a more interesting over-under is how many orders will be cancelled (due to unbalanced percentages) out of the total number of orders placed.

Same here. I had a hard enough time getting to PayPal, the site timed out for me for a while first.

For sure there will be a ton of canceled orders. But the inventory still gets locked up when someone buys chips incorrectly, which prevents others who are attempting to properly balance their orders from doing so.
Agree w/ this. Also wish there were a way to equitably reallocate those chips to those who followed the limits but didn’t get preferred sets (primary vs secondary 500s, for example).
Yeah those $500 primaries went real fast...hoping some will come back

Not only that Travis, but I think if someone leaves chips in their cart after a failed order which couldn't be place for lack of a certain chip, they are also off limits for a while.
This is almost certainly the case. I simply cannot believe that many thousands of $5s or $25s sold in 8 minutes.
I don´t know of course, but that does seem very likely considering the supposed amounts of these chips that were listed, before the lists were taken down earlier. I just cant see those amounts of 5s 25s and 100s being sold in 30 minutes.

Might be a follow up sale so we can balance the purchased sets..... just at full price.

Anyone who sells these above cost in the next months should be shunned....
Would love to see some sold as pre defined sets. Would make this so much easier and less stressful!
