I'll be interested to hear how many orders end up getting canceled and seeing what ends up being available. I wouldn't be surprised if only 5 to 10 orders were placed correctly within the first few minutes lol. I had my entire cart loaded literally within 15 seconds with 6 different denoms. Then they started disappearing on me and updating inside my PayPal cart while I was entering the quantities. There's no way those chips were all gone by that time if people were entering balanced orders.

I had my spreadsheet set so my percentages were all balanced, logged into PayPal ahead of time, all ready to go, F5 to refresh, F5 to refresh... and we're off! within 4-5 minutes, I had all my quantities correct, due to the refreshing of PayPal, took longer than I thought, but figured everyone was in the same boat, let's click Checkout!
Fracs and snappers sold out. OK, I expected that may happen, had a backup set of quantities ready, as soon as PayPal takes it's sweet time crashing and refreshing, ready to check out... $5s and $100s sold out. WHUUUUT!?!??
Before trying to rebalance my percentages again, I just settled for Grand Opening $5s and $25s only.

i sense the power of javascript has something to do with this.
how can the 5's sell out with max limit would be 500 per person, can't see 70 people doing that so soon, if they really are sold out, then I suspect some hacking was involved to obtain more chips
I got my order through with no trickery.

I can't even make a limit set with what is left because of the funky percentage limits...

It doesn't help that PayPal seems to auto-refresh the page as soon as you change one quantity and tab away from the field. If you could update all the quantities and then click Update once, not only would it (presumably) make for less server load, but it would be easier to not screw it up.

From a Noob point of view - what the hell? I can't make sense of how any of this works. I have a couple of CPC sets and love them. Would love to add a cash game set of Paulsons but really, I'm not sure that this is ever going to happen without a multi-year multi-purchase effort. FYI - Rainman, I was looking at the set of CPC Rounders chips you designed - very nice!

If they hacked pypl then there are bigger issues than these chips folks. 5s could have gone fast with just 200/300 for each persons order.

The $5s were sold out for me even 3 minutes in. I'm pretty sure he had extremely limited quantities available in this sale.
Should be interesting to hear what he has to say about how things went down. I know for sure that there were some people who just bought denoms one at a time and didn't realize that was against the rules or that they were somehow using a loophole. They just thought that's how these sales work. I'll be pretty shocked if there aren't a ton of orders like those.

How are people able to make balanced sets now later on then? Just a moment ago there were secondary 1000s available, and now there aren´t. So how are you able to balance out 50 1000s with most of the main denoms gone??
people are breaking the rules.

I suspect the 5s were just a filler chip to get the numbers needed for the higher denoms. They could also be used in a tourney set so it was a safer buy than the 1s. If bought for filler, and the quantities are high, they'll be on the market soon.

The way I calculated it, for the low quantity chips, it took ~25 full orders for those to sell out, assuming all chips were available.
At the Cleveland sale the 1000s sold in the secondary market at a premium
You can’t thats why I hope Jim cancels these orders and let us that are trying to follow the rules buy later.

yea 2000 chip limit, percentage limits, etc. Yet all the "good" chips went in first 1 min. Somethings gotta give. PCF investigation needed. 
Haha I understand that, but 1000s can only be 5% of the order so pretty hard to do now when many denoms are sold out..
