Not Mine KEM Horseshoe Cincinnati / Cleveland cards (1 Viewer)

Yeah but the shipping is $40 USD.

Hmm I guess the point you're making is it wouldn't be worth the hassle in the end and I would only save maybe a couple bucks, eh?
If I hadn't already ordered I would have tried to help you guys out. :(

oh my, no I thought it was $40 total shipped.. so $60 total? Then prob makes sense to have someone reship.

Not sure if anyone noticed this

True but IMO the QC of the casino card product they sell to poker rooms is a shade better than the retail product they sell to the public. I'll pick up a couple of Cleveland setups to go with my set since they are Bridge/Jumbo. Always nice to try and complete/fill out the set with some of the extras (cards, DB's, etc...)

This doesn't seem right to me. I think retired casino decks made before 2004 clearly have better quality than all that is sold today but I don't think the KEM casino/home cards made after 2006 (or whenever they reintroduced KEMs after the purchase) differ in any way, but then again I gave my middle finger after going through decks of new-era KEMs and called it a day. Maybe US card company has improved the KEM quality recently, no idea to be honest.

test for me is easy - played at foxwoods and mohegan with Kems - awesome condition, dont bend or have flawed edges, can peel hardcore on these cards

bought public kem decks - arrow decks, the circle back design with no casino branding on it, - they sucked, just awful, after one shuffle they bend horribly, edges of the cards have paper residue on them and they get creased noticebly from one peel of the cards

im hoping these casino branded kems are equivalant to FW/MS quality

Anyone have a line on generic setup boxes? I can't justify buying any more loose decks without a better storage option. I have a number of different single deck boxes and hate them all.

Something like Desjgn's boxes but with no branding would be perfect.

What loose decks are you receiving? I think the Cincy ones come in a box, and the Cle ones come with the Kem cardboard box

Thanks for that. Just saw the pics in thread, didn't even bother looking at the amazon pics assuming bulk casino cards wouldn't have the two deck cases.

Didn't mean "loose" really, just dislike all single deck boxes.

Might not be a great test as those Foxwoods/Mohegan cards could have been ordered pre 2004 unless there is some logo update or something that shows otherwise.
HS Cleveland and Cincy weren't around.. I'll guess we'll have a bunch of people (myself included) finding out the quality soon enough. *crosses fingers*

I highly doubt that MS and FW are using pre 2004 cards in 2017, just a hunch. And there have been instances of Kems in other casinos, opened post-2004 being high quality as well.

I highly doubt it as well.

Then they may indeed have different manufacturing for casino vs home.

Just hoping these are good.

I just checked a box of Kem Arrow back bridge size cards I bought back sometime in '06-'07. Still look excellent & flat as the day they were new. Played with them about a dozen times or so. Been sitting in their plastic box on my desk for about 5-6 years. What causes them to warp? Incorrect storage? Age? Usage?

In my experience they warp when they're stored in non-ideal temperature/humidity.

They bow after a lot of usage. I've seen KEM Arrows used by my nearby casino that have bowed and I assume the temp/humidity is always ideal in a casino.

Maybe there's more too it.
