399..... 1 shipping casualty....

Wonder what's different about these chips that are causing all the broken chips in shipping?

@TheChipRoom since cardboard chip boxes can be purchased (e.g. Warneke boxes) very cheaply these days, would it be possible for you to start boxing all chips for shipping in future sales, rather than shipping loose chips in padded envelopes? It would save some people from ending up with broken chips and incomplete sets.

I bet if you PM'd him to negotiate special packing terms, he'd listen.
But seriously, these are poker chips. They exist to be splashed and raked and stacked and shuffled.

Mines been in transit from St Louis for about 18+ hours now. Was supposed to be delivered today but obviously not happening. Am I the only one who panics when packages get "stuck" like this? When it's a $10 item from Amazon I don't. When it's $1600+ worth of poker chips I immediately think the worst! I'll just look at everyone else's pron to try and soothe my worries :(

Don’t feel bad , my tracking showed shipped then next thing I looked it was going to Georgia which is the opposite direction of Hawaii. Well they are here and all safe, none missing and none broken!!! Jim always makes it right

My 550 came in just fine (zero casualties), and I'm waiting on the 100 50c's.

The quantities left are a bit obscene:

~5400 ones
~1950 fives
~6600 25's
~1650 100's

Those quantities left might make a good limit set. Dude's gonna have 25's to last him for eternity.

Im on that worry train. 3 days and not here yet.

Just to update, I actually called the distribution center, and they said that they are getting "priority" orders through involving the "virus" that they have to give priority on transport and that some packages are getting delayed. Since that call my package magically moved again and is supposed to be delivered today. I'll believe it when I see it but either way the lady's story was at least believable.

I’ve had broken chips, don’t usually receive boxes with my orders, and had an order of roulette colors switched (Lol still trying to finagle some extras from people).

Must be wired differently, cause I’ve never taken the time to post or even bug Jim about it. He regularly procures chips and tries to dole them out here as fairly as possible for solid prices (sure he makes money, but still, he could probably make more and not care as much).

Im not a sycophant, I get it, especially if you’re new, you want exactly what you paid for (and if you reach out he’ll get that chip or whatever to you). I’m of the mindset, be thankful and if something’s broken your first time, at this price buy some more. After that, always buy extras anyways!

People are moving less, I'm sure USPS has been inundated with packages.
The random part for mine, was none of my other packages were delayed or slowed. All of them get routed through the same distribution center, some of them that I ordered after the chips came earlier than they were supposed to. I have an eBay purchase that I made yesterday, that is getting delivered today and it was just in a flat rate box. The problem wasn't the delay, it was no information.

They came and they are beautiful. The classic Vegas colors of this set was very appealing to me. The cherry really looks nice and the pink fracs are blinding. I would also pay additional costs for more secure shipping in the future as well but for the time being will just order a few more chips while they are still around. Thanks Jim!

Ordering a few more of each denomination is likely the best answer. Paying significantly more for more secure shipping also costs you more and doesn't give you any extra chips in the (more) likely event nothing is damaged. This doesn't really apply if the chips are especially hard to find, but that isn't really the case in these Chiproom sales.

And yes, the chips are great. I really like the look of the pink fracs, but at my home cash game we most often don't use fracs or $1 chips, just $5s and up.

I didn't take part in this sale, as I didn't manage to get what I wanted in time, but I have bought from @TheChipRoom several times in the past. Have had broken chips multiple times, but I try to always buy a few spares just in case so it's not a huge problem. We obviously all love what Jim keeps delivering to the chipping continuity!

That being said though, I think it would be a really nice improvement if the chips always shipped in warneke-type boxes like @superchromix suggests. This not a complaint in any way, more of a friendly suggestion. Just considering how easy it is to get these boxes now, at probably less than $1 each when buying in quantity, I think Jim should consider it. Honestly seems like a much easier way to pack and ship chips as well. Also don't think people would mind if he added the cost of the boxes on to the customers.

I will obviously keep buying from @TheChipRoom either way! Love what you are doing, and thanks again for another great buying opportunity!
