I didn’t want the SD 1s, but I went back and bought some SD1s. Cuz, I can’t stop.

To be honest, I mostly wanted the SD2s. And I got some, but I also had a hard time not buying the 5s.

Well, I guess I got a new 1k chipset in the mail. A freaky worn down hotstamp chipset.

LFG!

Got my yellow fives. I had pre-logged in to Paypal this time, and it paid off. Thanks so much Jim for the amazing value for us chippers!
I had too. Didn't help, PP decided to fuck that, you need to re-authenticate-and-then-some... and then after I finally got to confirm the order, it got stuck on this spinner:

Sure PayPal, you're welcome.

Well, it's after the first hour. I placed my additional order for more of what was left over.

I hope I didn't break any rules.

Snagged a rack of those pinkies, super late in the game. Haha. Maybe HSI nickel. :)

Glad I got the Sahara dunes set, but my next option was the pinky limit set, hope somebody snagged 1k plus of those pinkies for a 3/6 limit set. Beast.

Not sure if serious. There is no sale model where the highly sought after chips are available 5 minutes after the sale start.
Yes there is. If you force them to buy a bunch of other chips, it will deter them from just cherry picking the best ones and wiping them out. That’s why I was able to get a nice HSI complete set that I actually want to keep.

Sure, but even with required breakdowns all the good chips will be gone quickly and not available 5 minutes after the sale start. HSI had a ton if chips.

Unfortunately the reality is there are more people here who want chips than there are chips. There is never a world where everyone gets what they want.

I for one appreciate Jim for going through the effort to bring the chips to us at a decent price and am happy with whatever way he decides to sell them.

Because all the good chips were gone, I just ended up buying one rack for a possible future relabel project. I had originally wanted to buy a complete playable set, so wanted racks of all the denominations. Once I saw that they were sold out, I just gave up on that idea and will have to hope another even comes along again in the future.

Says someone who got good chips?

I appreciate Jim’s sales too. Just wish it was a bit more equitable. No model will ever satisfy everyone, but this one ensure all the best chips are gone in a minute. That is for sure

I get it. I've had my fair share of missing out too, and it sucks. You win some and you lose some.

The dude is not running a charity. He announced the sale weeks ago. If you want the fancy chips bad enough, you would have been able to get a few racks.

You can either get a haul of common chips, or a select couple racks, but if you log in, have your PayPal and computer ready, you are going to get something if you are personably reasonable.

You can’t really be “equitable” when there are only a few racks of chips that 100 people want.

At least this way, the racks stay together instead of get divvied up into barrels to a bunch of different people.

what’s the alternative? Setting prices high enough that they slowly drip out only to people who want it the most and are willing to pay the highest prices? Worst case here you buy it in the secondary market, which is pretty much the same thing. The only sale I haven’t whiffed on up to this point was the jack cinci sale, and I was shut out of a few denoms there too. I’d still say I prefer it like this.

Disclaimer: I may be biased because I got exactly what I wanted in this sale.
