Thanks so much. Have a finished photo?! How tall is your rail? Also, how did you secure the acrylic from moving around?

I used the same pex piping, split in the middle and placed my LED FCOB lights behind the pex, then behind the surround diffuser with card suit.
The reason I went with FCOB LED'S is that they are a solid strand, not lights separated. It makes for a real nice transition of lighting. I had regular LEDS, but it did not light up the card suit difuser smoothly.

The diffuser is made of clear plexiglass with the COB LED inside white pex which is cut in 1/2.
The suit card cutouts is a decal made locally. It comes in strips of 23" long, then simply stuck on the front of the plexiglass.
Here is a not so great pic of the decal. The white portion is the cutouts. I found the decal maker on FB marketplace. I believe they are made from a cricut?

Awesome! I was wondering if a cricut would work. Love the aluminum cutouts on here but the size of my table might make it prohibitively expensive.
Great advice too on having the lighting be so uniform. Appreciate it!

Yes, it is 3/4", but I'm working on a new rail with built in cup holders for this table, and I will likely go 1" raised rail this time. Just a bit more space for any diffuser decals. I have the materials, but I will wait to redo it when golf season starts, as we don't play poker during the summer due to golf, travel, family vacations etc.

Did you ever do the new rail? I have a table coming and went w/ 3/4" because 1" always looks so big in pictures. Hoping I made the right choice...lol. If you have pics of the new rail would love to see them.

I find LEDs totally useless. I mean in a practical way. However, I think a led looks super sexy so I installed one on my custom table.

My new rail was made from 3/8" plywood, with (8) 3/4" cup holder trim rings glued to the 3/8" plywood topped with 1.5" of HD foam which compressed to 1" after installing the vinyl and stapling as tight as possible I used over 1000 staples.
I used 3/4" spacers under the rail, with the 7/8" diffuser fitting in the routered 1/8" deep and 1/8" wide groove to accept the diffuser.
When the rail is bolted down, it touches the top if the diffuser evenly all around the table.. basically, the showing part of the diffuser is 3/4" as are the decals that go over the diffuser.
Hope that explains it a bit.
