That was a great goal - I was sitting within 20 feet of that play when it happened. He definitely has talent, but the Islanders still lack adequate support around him to make a deep playoff run.

Disagree. Its just reigning in their inconsistency... But this is a Lightning thread.
In that regard, what the eff was Stralman doing on that play?! After making an initial poke check, he watched/escorted him right to to front of the net.

Barzal entered the zone with a ton of speed and and Stralman failed to adjust his angle of intercept. I often wish the Lightning defenders were more physical.
Honestly, if the Islanders could strengthen their goaltending, that would solve a lot of their inconsistency. They were 8-2 with Griese starting, but his GAA was almost 4 they were simply outscoring their opponents. Halak had a much better GAA but no goal support.

I agree with your assessment 100%. But after the swing and miss, he stopped moving his feet and just watched Barzal walk in.
And yes, hip check > poke check in that situation.

Lower level tickets are running $175-200 each. Upper level tickets $45-150 each. You ca search deals on NHL ticket exchange. These are the best lower level seats I could find - 4 together on the corner at the end the Leafs shoot twice.
These are priced a little less, but up a little higher
Lightning Girls definitely need an upgrade, but hey, I guess it's hockey. Those shin/lower leg pads are not flattering.

I have been impressed with their effort and puck retrieval - definitely a fast team. I can’t wait to go to a game in Vegas.
