Milanos: get a sample set. I like the feel, sound, and quality, but the mold impressions were often shallow (sometimes flat), and I don't like the "pastel" quality of many of the colors.
Ironically, I think "real clay" makers try hard to get a vibrant color, and are jealous of plastics, while "china clay" makers are trying to make it look like pressed clay, and tone down their colors.
Sunfly/ceramics: the shiny edges are a definite thing on Sunfly. It makes stacks look better, but the inconsistency between face tone and edge tone irks some people. I was able to live with the shiny, and would own a set of Venerati (besides my samples set) despite that - but I couldn't deal with the lack of edge spot alignment, especially on the $1 chip!
That's my biggest beef with a lot of ceramic designs - they have a design which suggests edge spots (or other wrap-around art), but they're not made with alignment. That's part of why I'm excited about the upcoming Nine Dragons chips from GOCC.
So again, the advice comes down to this: get samples. I thought I'd be buying Milanos until I got the samples and was unhappy with the colors and mold (I just like deeper). I thought I'd be buying Veneratis until I saw the edge alignment. Others balk at those same chip sets for entirely different reasons. Which reason will be yours? Or will you just love them?
