MAN CAVE Pics thread - no stack posts (3 Viewers)

Yeah basement is like my only place of refuge. The rest of the house is covered in clothes, food, and toys...

Its funny because it is actually common to have unfinished basements here which I think is an incredible waste of space.

I posted some scattered pics elsewhere a while back. Some updated shots and some drinks.

I personally love a walk around wet bar. The “Old State Club” sees a lot more drinking than poker unfortunately. I usually play bartender for social gatherings (which I don’t mind) but I don’t make many drinks during a game. If we take a break I may bust out a few cocktails or people can help themselves. I prefer beer and Guinness is always on one tap. The other tap rotates and I always keep a variety of bottles and cans.

I’d kill to have a bar like that in my house. I have the space, just no time, money, or skills. Did you do the work or have it all done?

I had most of it done. I just did the floors, trim work, paint, and all the wiring and installation for the TVs and electronics...oh and I made the poker table. I met the the guy who made the bar though a poker friend. He does it on the side.

There are five bars similar to that in our neighborhood. One has another 4-5 seats and another has a legit dance floor with professional lighting...including disco ball! We actually have a “bar crawl” once or twice a year with 20-30 people. Last one started at 2pm and ended at 3am! We have a very fun neighborhood......I just wish I was still in my twenties (y)

Your place is awesome. Love it! Guinness on tap and a drink menu! Not much better then that. Nice work!

Wow! I'll be saving these pictures for the wishlist when I finish my basement. It looks like a pretty similar starting floorplan. Awesome setup!

This utterly amazes me  I can’t gather 10 friends for micro cash games and beer and you’re bar crawling through yours and your neighbors’ homes with 30 people til 3am.

You are doing it right, sir. I am not.

For a few years we hardly knew anyone in the neighborhood. When my oldest son started school and sports we all connected through the kids. Turned out to be a fun group.

Edit @Ellasdaddy :

Here are some of the pics I could find of a few of the neighbors bars

These setups are awesome, mine is a work in process but I’ll have to get some pictures

Anyone have a source for man cave design assistance. I have an unfinished basement I want to turn into a man cave and poker room. Just want to do it right.

I would draw out your basement in graph paper and design on that. Look at tons of pics online and find stuff you like. Decide what you want...like a wet bar , home theater, or just a big living space.

I will give you some advice though...if you do any type of bar include a sink.
