Beautiful room, the door is amazing!

Did Phil buy in for the minimum and whine every time he lost a hand?

Lol...actually, he came to our place as the result of a charity raffle. He spent about four hours playing with us. He didn't try to hard...was always 3rd or 4th out. Always described why he did what he did. Fun educational evening.

You're going to get @guinness to get his keyboard all sticky...he collects game machines as well.

Who do you think got him started on arcade games many years ago (when we both worked at Compuware) (y)

I hosted a work party back in 2000 and he saw my Tron upright (I had a few vids and a couple of pinball machines back then in my old condo).

Since I posted some pictures of the table in another thread, I'll share the basement/man cave photos while I'm down here. Dunes chips in the case. CPS set is locked away in a hidden case.

Table has seen better days so I'm thinking am upgrade may be coming by years end. Also hoping to add a hanging light over the table soon.

Table will get to put to use Saturday but not with chips. Nickel, Dime, Quarter mixed game being played after a shrimp and prime rib dinner with a group of guys

VERSA CASE!

It's a great case. Picked it up back in December. Wanted a nice, sturdy case for my Dunes. My Dunes, plus a number of decks of cards in the case, are my travel set if they ever need to leave the house. I wanted something I could trust.

Unfortunately, it looks like they're sold out or on back order at a lot of places so I had to get the standard silver $30 case for my CPS set. When they become available I'll throw the money towards another Versa for them. Luckily for now they aren't leaving the basement so I don't mind them being in a cheaper case

fantastic room @dbertheau must have been amazing hosting Phil Hellmuth

love that Senna painting as well, but I think its 1993 not 1982 :)

You are correct...1993 at Monaco...
Thanks

Grand Prix de Monaco, 23rd May 1993. Driving the McLaren MP4/8 Fors, Ayrton Senna took the chequered flag to score a record sixth victory in the Principality. The image shows the Brazilian powering his car through Casino Square down to Mirabeau, with the magnificent splendour of the Hotel de Paris dominating the skyline.

Yeah maybe it's a regional thing, but my crew says they love the unfinished basement feel as well. Small but serviceable.

I think it's an escape thing. Refined rooms are nice, but guys feel like they're in a commercial setting or casino. After viewing some of the rooms here a while back, I decluttered mine a bit. Someone on here commented it was like playing poker on the set of American Pickers, which I took as a compliment! But I merely mentioned to my guys the possible removal of my moose rack and I almost got thrown out of my own house! And none of them hunt!

Finally was able to get my @T_Chan table home. It won't be set up all the time like the main table. I wanted to set it up so I could figure out the best location for it. Looks like I will need to add a few lamps to improve the lighting. It is a great table. It will work great for 6 or 7 handed mixed game action. I can't wait to get it into play.

I am in the middle stage of putting together my man cave and would like some input from you vets. The basement is completely furnished and I nearly done hanging all the pictures etc. What I don't have yet is any type of bar. The room is just a big rectangle with no plumbing so I was planning to keep it simple and maybe just get a beer fridge. Any thoughts on drinks setup?

Also I don't have any tables for drinks at all. I was considering mounting a finished piece of wood to the wall to act as a shelf for people to put their drinks on. not really sure yet.

Any thoughts on a good humidor that can store 25-100 cigars or something in that range. I am kinda picky on the humidor as I know you buy them all over the internet for cheap. I want to get a unique good looking one preferably below $500

For now I have a cheap table topper setup with Dunes China Clay chips. I will post some pics when I get a little further.
