Anyway to just fish your electrical in the ceiling to that column and place an outlet there?

Yes, this is possible, albeit it'll involve external conduit.

Ha..when we first did our basement, it was on the cheap, so no drywall. I installed over 2 dozen outlets, running metal conduit to all of them. Firing away with the Hilti gun into the concrete walls. Good times! We're just now talking about drywalling.

Paint it white and save yourself the added costs of a floor mounted outlet. IMHO it's DIY versus a significant cost.

So, I gave my best shot at the photos of my basement when I was setting up for my monthly tournament. Please don't judge my chips (nexgens), I would love to have nicer chips, but I also love my wife and have been cut off of any further poker purchases... lol.

Wow! Got all your bases covered there. Very nice. Hard parts done...upgrading your chips should be the easy part. (y)

Upgraded my TV to go with the chairs.

Upgraded our 50" to a 65" Ultra HD 4K w/ HDR color. Very happy.

Did you ever think we'd come to a day when a 4 foot TV screen was just obviously too small?

I know, it's crazy... I grew up with a 13" and 19" tv, and we just used binoculars (and didn't complain). :)

I remember getting a 27" big-screen tv, and it was crazy!!!!!

You need to hide those wires!!!

Maybe someday...

I took a 20+" Sony tube tv that was older than me to college. Weighed I don't know how much.

I know... gross 1st world problem. We have at least 6 flat panel TVs in our house, none smaller than 42". None of them are allowed in the kids' bedrooms.

Where do you have them all then? I have 1 in the basement, 1 in the family room, and 1 in our room. 60/65/50 respectively. None in our kids rooms either

Man Cave (x3), Back patio, Gym, Master Bedroom, living room, and playroom. 8 total for me.

Right? A friend was having a fundraiser that I couldn't attend, but I gave her a $20 to throw in the til. She said "we're raffling off a tv, let me give you some tickets."
No thanks, I already have two giant tv's - leave it for somebody who might need one.

Two in the basement (one shown, other in our workout room) 65/42
Two on the main level (two different living rooms) 50/42
To in the upstairs (master and office). 50/42

Considering putting the office 42" on the back patio. Perfect spot for it...

And you had to bribe a buddy come over to help you move it. Moving TVs was a good way to punch your ticket to short term disability. A couple of weeks ago I carried a 54 inch flat panel up to my in-law's bedroom. With a beer in my other hand.

Had a 37" 'Sony trinitron, that was the heaviest (mass market) TV ever built. I'm not exaggerating. It was 304lbs (according to wiki)

Now THAT tv nearly cost me a few friendships... those friends that offered to help me move twice, those were keepers!

I had to help a friend move that same TV 3 times. Before his last move, we all told him to sell it or leave it, because we were done moving it

Man Cave built a couple of years ago. 60" round table for 7 players. 48" on one wall above the bar. Wine closet door hand carved from Austin Texas. Artwork is Senna at Monaco in 1993.
