Anyway to just fish your electrical in the ceiling to that column and place an outlet there?
Yes, this is possible, albeit it'll involve external conduit.

Paint it white and save yourself the added costs of a floor mounted outlet. IMHO it's DIY versus a significant cost.Yes, this is possible, albeit it'll involve external conduit.
Bad ass. Love the classic vibe this gives off. All you need is a humidor!View attachment 89717 View attachment 89718 View attachment 89719 Not as fancy as some but the poker room got a new paint job.

Added some updated pics. Not sure that I'm going to have a nicer room than @Mr Tree but at least I have a target to shoot for. In any case if you want to follow along with my build I decided it was better to post on the sister site. http://www.pokertableforum.com/threads/cottage-cave.58/#post-471

Did you ever think we'd come to a day when a 4 foot TV screen was just obviously too small?
You need to hide those wires!!!
I took a 20+" Sony tube tv that was older than me to college. Weighed I don't know how much.
Where do you have them all then? I have 1 in the basement, 1 in the family room, and 1 in our room. 60/65/50 respectively. None in our kids rooms eitherI know... gross 1st world problem. We have at least 6 flat panel TVs in our house, none smaller than 42". None of them are allowed in the kids' bedrooms.
Maybe someday...
Man Cave (x3), Back patio, Gym, Master Bedroom, living room, and playroom. 8 total for me.Where do you have them all then? I have 1 in the basement, 1 in the family room, and 1 in our room. 60/65/50 respectively. None in our kids rooms either

And you had to bribe a buddy come over to help you move it. Moving TVs was a good way to punch your ticket to short term disability. A couple of weeks ago I carried a 54 inch flat panel up to my in-law's bedroom. With a beer in my other hand.I remember getting a 27" big-screen tv, and it was crazy!!!

You're going to get @guinness to get his keyboard all sticky...he collects game machines as well.
I had to help a friend move that same TV 3 times. Before his last move, we all told him to sell it or leave it, because we were done moving itHad a 37" 'Sony trinitron, that was the heaviest (mass market) TV ever built. I'm not exaggerating. It was 304lbs (according to wiki)
Now THAT tv nearly cost me a few friendships... those friends that offered to help me move twice, those were keepers!
