What's the story behind these? Which Horseshoe was using them and when?

Got my samples today. Jeez o Pete these things are heavy. 20 weigh over 250g, so more than 12.5g each. My hand hurts from shuffling. But they are beautiful chips. I just need to decide if they are right.

I have a shuffle stack of the original 500's at home, and they are awesome chips! If there was a cash set of these chips it would be very hard to resist (I prolly couldn't), but I just don't play enough tournaments to have a set of these.

Me either. If I buy a set of these it is strictly for a cash game.

Not yet, I don't have enough money. Will it be at the prices that Tommy has listed?

I'm not anywhere near ready to go, don't worry. Won't know pricing for a while. Need to figure out how to know which molds have square edges -- that's a must for me, and it's not easy to figure out.

Updated my order to make it bigger -- post #26. Hoping we have a big group buy, and bring those prices down!

You're over 1000 chips now. Time to bring my A-game to keep up.

And that doesn't count the 440 that I have here sitting on my desk!
This is going to be my one grand daddy tourney set, in case I ever host anything giant. They're perfect for that!

I shuffled my samples today, also gave them to a regular to try as well. He was weirded out at first, but then I showed him the actual WSOP chips they were modeled from and he thought that was cool. He thought they were super easy to shuffle. He likes them now. He told me to buy all nickels. LOL at $4 bets made with 80 chips.

I was skeptical too. But I shuffled mine for a few hours today, and as I did, they picked up a little hand oil and stray dirt and began sticking to each other just a little bit more, in a good way. I've never ever had chips shuffle as easily as these. They are heavy, but make a satisfying thunk. And the little bit of extra stickiness between chips was enough for me to be able to grab a stack at the top, and move the whole stack across my papers without very much downward pressure.

Long story short, I love them and my plan is to back up the truck to this GB. (Plans change, but the plan looks good so far)

Interesting! I assume you used an exacto blade?
Actually I used a safety pin. The label is very robust - I would describe it as similar to a plastic playing card - and the glue is very strong but once you get under the label and loosen it, it comes off in one piece.

Like Like Like ..... I was hoping someone would try it to see how easy/hard it was. I want to get a small tourney set but sneak in both the 100 and the James Bond 25k
