Mgm Springfield chips (1 Viewer)

thread needs pics so bad. I am in if chips are THC.
If I was actually taking bets on that, I think 100 to 1 would be a fair number, though I could probably still rake it in at 20 to 1. Seriously, what percentage of new chips are being made on the THC mold? 10% would be a VERY high estimate. I'd guess the number is below 5%. And, when's the last time an MGM branded casino made chips on the THC mold? Maybe sometime in the '80's?
I'd assume you're looking at RHC's similar to the DC casino, with a small chance that they'll be on a house mold, and a next to zero chance they'll be THC.

so you're saying theres a chance !

i guess im new at this but how exactly does harvesting work? since the chips cost more than a dollar i'd be surprised if they just let you pick up 10 racks of $1s and walk out

I plan to buy a bunch of racks. Sit at a 2/4 table. Rack up for a dinner break. Take the chips with me. Repeat.

With only 23 tables, they might not have any 2/4 games running regularly. Maybe not on opening weekend. Who knows?
Good luck with it, though. If I thought they have chips I’d be interested in, I’d be right there with you:

You might be right. If they don’t have a 2/4, or better yet a 3/6 or 4/8 that plays with 1s, I can’t see harvesting 10 racks next weekend.

But a 4/8 with 2s would also make a potentially nice harvest target if the chips are nice.

I doubt chips cost more than a dollar in the quantity that they’re buying them.
Didn't we just go through this with the boat chips? Didn't they say their average cost per chip was somewhere in the $1.30 to $1.50 range? I know those figures included all kinds of costs, and I assume THC chips are more expensive than RHC, but I still have a hard time believing a mid sized casino is paying less than a buck a chip for Paulsons.

They definitely are. Not much less, but less.

Whatever they pay when you get to snappers and above there’s a substantial profit

They'll definitely have 2/4 it's such a popular game around here..twin Rivers has a smaller room and have 1/2 2/4 and a 5/10 game running consistently.

The average 39mm Paulson base chip price is over $1, and doesn't include costs for any artwork, hot-stamp dies, packing charges, or shipping. THC vs RHC makes no difference. Base prices for the budget hot-stamped Blue Chips are under $1.

You don't think MGM has a deal worked out seeing as they buy literally millions of chips off of them?

Hell, if MGM is buying ~all~ of their gaming equipment and supplies from GPI, they might be getting the chips for free (although I seriously doubt it).

RFID chips aren't cheap to make, and most large-operation casino checks $100 and higher usually have it. Other security features cost extra money, too. GPI isn't in the gaming supplies business to lose money.

Most new casino chip orders aren't as large as you might think... and they are typically dwarfed by other expenditures and service contract costs by comparison.

I'm talking about the one dollar chips..I'm sure all the chips with security features and such definitely coat more then a dollar to make

39mm inlay chips with simple spots are under $1 each. Art fees are under $200. 4000 chips of the same denom is definitely under $4000.

I drive by it everyday and get excited Everytime lol...it's a sickness

I know what you mean! I usually snap a quick pic. This is from today on the way to Jeveli's.
