the $1 and $5 are absolutely brilliant !
those shaped inlays are... whooa !
 
I love the $5, the shaped inlays, dual-sided chips... Nice spot progression. Really easy to read on the sides.

Congrats on a beautiful set!
 
Absolutely beutiful. A set after my heart. Love whiskey love Steve Earle. Not sure if you offered up samples but I'd be interested in buying one.... Even if it's just a one chip sample.
 
Awesome set, very well done, especially with the shaped inlays. The yellow $20 is my favorite.
 
I am not often a fan of shaped inlays, but they simply work in this set. A brilliant, and classic job. You know when JimB saw these rolling off the presses, he must have had a little smile on his face.

I know it was probably in the design thread, but who did the artwork?

Can you tell me some about the weight on these? I'm considering a group buy and these seem like the only option out there. Thanks!
 
All I have to weigh them on is a cheap food scale so it's not 100 percent accurate. They are between 8-9 grams which is standard and if you want the real deal I believe CPC is the only place left.

I have owned a lot of different fantasy sets from Paulson and BCC and these are as good if not better than any I have owned.
 
Factors vary, depending on colors used (also perhaps on the mold as well, but that has not yet been verified), but 8-9 grams gives you a good ballpark, and yes - CPC is the only place for casino quality clay chips. Casino quality ceramics however, give a few more options.

As for a group buy, it needs to be spectacular. There isn't a price break in CPC chips. They don't roll off an assembly line, giving the producer a chance to sit on their hands during a long production run. CPC Chips are hand crafted, whether you order 300 or 3 million (ok, you can talk to David about an order of 3 million). If you want to consider the CPC group buy route, you may want to look at the Key West line. Chips, cards, dealer buttons, and more. Dennis hit a home run runner-runner straight flush draw on every one of his products, but I doubt he has seen much of a profit - at least not on the chip side of the business.
 
The smart $$ is on HHR. Anybody know a good handicapper?
 
Congrats on a great looking set. Count me with the others in admiration for the $20. I think its spectacular. Consider yourself lucky as the future of the MD-50 mold now seems questionable. I've always wanted a set on that mold but that's another dream that is likely to have vanished.

By the way, I love the 2 sided inlays (white/black background). I just did this on my custom labeled paulsons.
