My custom chip mock up, (now with dealer button)-- feedback please (1 Viewer)

There could be an argument for both fonts. I think I prefer the traditional font.

That is a good idea. On the art side I want the Treehouse/tree to be as large as possible. Having the denomination taking up a lot of space at the bottom forces it to be smaller.

You could always do something similar to what I did with my lucky Buddha chips and have a large tree house on the front with a small denom, and have a large denom on the back with the water mark looking tree house faded in the background. Maybe that's what you're doing though. Not sure if you were asking which to go with or if you should go with both.

Personally, I would keep looking at fonts. Nothing stands out to me yet as being the "right" one. But I'd definitely go with "The tree house" instead of "the club house".

Love the trees though!

I was thinking of possibly using both. In the art side, the small traditional version. Then on the text side using the larger text font. Thoughts?

No, a thousand times no! Or so I claim  :ROFLMAO:

Having different fonts on each side would tilt me to no end lol

There looks to be a fade/bleed on the outside of the illustration that makes this illustration seem to be a natural for this purpose You'd need your artist to work on the different seasons by using the ground or the leaves.

Anyone like this font for the denominations?

Moved the denomination to the right to make the tree bigger on the art side.

Also changed the colors of the flowers on the $20 to better match the edge spots of the chip.

Going to change the font, but don't know to what yet.

The $5 is my favorite by a mile!!! Love the colors.

The one dollar chip rocks. I love the color matching that is taking place. The denominations fit. I'm just not a fan of them. I guess I like more traditional denoms. Who knew lol.

The middle of the red denom blends in a bit to the brown in the background of the fiver.

I do like the move to the side though!

I like the denominations off to the side. I also like the current denomination font, reminds me of someone who tried to paint a number on the tree house. Maybe consider something like that for the word font?

That was my idea with the fonts. Something that looks like it was painted on textured wood.

I like the way the $1, $2, & $5 look, but I don't care for the 0. I think it how it dips in to the left at the bottom. It doesn't look right to me.

After looking at images of real trees in bloom and how much I love the $5 chip, I decided to change the $20 chip to match it. Plus each chip will have its own color canopy now.

@p5woody found a font I like a lot.

Here is the entire set with with all the updates.

At this point I think it 90%+ done. Only thing I think I want to change is how the sky line cuts through the denomination on the art side. It is the most noticeable/issue on the $5 chip.

Other than that I am ecstatic with how these have turned out. If there is anything I missed that could use a tweak let me know.

Love those inlays

Thanks! I've had the idea for this set in my head for a few years and decided it's finally time.

Obviously a lot of credit goes to @p5woody for taking my ideas and making them come to be. He has been so easy to work with. Like @detroitdad said he replies to emails like he is waiting for them lol!

Here is the final inlay. Just s few minor adjustments, the biggest was changing the skyline so it didn't go through the denomination any more.

A huge thank you to @p5woody for doing these, and so much faster than I would have thought possible!!

Now onto my sell off so I can order these all at once. I'm not going to be able to wait and order one denomination at a time like I was planning.

OP has been updated to show the final inlays.

Great looking concepts!! Normally, i like charcoal or darks for my hundreds. I know that this might sound a bit morbid, however if you want one more denomination, how about showing the tree and clubhouse as if it went through a fire and you could have a black chip for the 100 and show the white as another denom? Just a thought.

....or make a few dark "bounty" chips like that!!

Lol! I have already thought about if I add a $0.25 to the set making it as a small sapling tree without the Treehouse in it yet.

For a black chip I could make a $500 with a night scene, stars and moon. Down the road options.....

Well done!
Please put me on the list for the sample set if you're already accepting orders

I had a for sale add for sample sets. All the samples I ordered are accounted for as of now. If I am sent any spares or if someone backs out you are welcome to one. As of now you are the first alternate.

I wasn't planning on worrying about dealer buttons right away, but Steve sent me a few ideas and after a few emails we have a pretty cool design.

I like the idea of a nighttime button since the actual chips are all in the daylight setting.

Plus it makes the season unknown.

Let me know what you think.
