My experience with Tina's hybrid RHC (Trigger Warning) (3 Viewers)

That look like No mold version (Not sure textured or non-textured), certainly not hybrid
Those should be hybrids, I have received no mold textured, card mold already.

So for new people hybrids are ceramic chips with a recess for labels. Not printed faux labels on the chip itself. Plus I’ll say it for those who won’t. If you are waiting for the scrown or top hat molds faked by Tina, you are promoting a fraud of sorts.

Just like what @BPTDirector explained about hybrids.

For CM & NM at 30c price, one have to expect there will be a certain % of spinner (safe % will be up to 5%).

If spinners are going to be a deal breaker for you,

(i) you can always opt for @SUN-FLY Poker Chips CM which are about $1 each but way higher QC and no spinner
(ii) or Custom from @BR Pro Poker for NM which is about 80c each
(iii) or Premium Casino Grade plastic from classified ranging from 50c to $2 (depending on the brand and availability)
(iv) or Paulson Clay Chip from classified ranging from $2 to $10+ for excellent condition (depending on the denomination and colour etc)

The above options will have zero to nope spinner issue

So could someone summarize (or point to one that already exist) the ups and downs of the different Tina options?

PS! I won't order any fauxsons or scrown as I belive Paulson and CPC owns the rights to those molds, so it has to be no mold or card molds.

Card molds have a little indent, some people love those. No-molds have more room on the face and are flat, some people love those. Hybrids have a recess and a sticker on em, some people love those.

Personally love my 43mm no molds, I dont like cards mold, sound and feel different. Definitely has some spinners but nowhere near the half that was mentioned above. Out of a total of 2400ish, Ive found probably 20-30 spinners. Annoying, but for the price I'm very happy.

Edit just to agree that the copied molds are bullshit, love my customs and knew what I was getting. Dont need goofy copies.

These particular chips' spots and colors look nice. While these chips are not RHC (canes all face the same way on these), I have never liked the Paulson RHC mold. I am participating in a group buy for totally custom no mold chips and I'm hoping for few to no spinners. I believe a "key" mold is being developed for these ceramic chips. Having owned Chipco ceramics in the past, I am not really a fan of a mold in a ceramic type chip. If I could do a custom mold on a chip it would be something that hasn't been done before, not a copy. The "Spartan" mold submitted by a member on the old ChipTalk comes to mind.... but I digress. I do like the faux molds that can be printed on these chips as it's just a part of the image. How well those images hold up is a test for time and wear (I don't have a faux mold on my chip design).
It's my personal thing because I know that a clay chip is formed, pressed (including separate edge spot components) and molds and inlays. These ceramics are injection molded so it seems to me to that they are not and never will be a "real" duplicate. I do think the price point combined with ability for customization of these is unbeatable so I guess people are going to experiment.

Fwiw, I'm pretty sure that the cards mold and diamond mold were copied from Sun-Fly designs.

If you're looking to take the high road, you should probably plan on no-molds. Although the material formula was also probably stolen.....

None of those chips are Tina hybrids.

These are hybrids - https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/nuts-hybrid-tina-chips.95735/

as others have described, they have a recess and a sticker. (if I remember correctly) you can DIY the sticker or have Tina and co. print and affix your stickers
When I asked for the hybrid samples, I did peruse the "Nuts" thread to see what the hybrids look like. Seems then that I have been mistaken, my video is of no molds (smooth?), apologies @LeLe and thanks for the correction.

If anything, this is just more frustrating then... I specifically asked for hybrids and no mold textured samples. I'll post a vid of the "hybrid" samples I received tmrw... fyi they don't look like the Nuts hybrid plain mold, as they have the top hat cane imprinted on them.

I will take some Pictures tomorrow :p Lots of Stuff going on here

My camera batteries are loading right now - Pictures are coming .. TOMORROW :D

Not true. My first set of Bellagio replicas were on the no mold smooth. They’re so smooth it feels like copy paper, and they get smoother (think slippery) with use.
I thought they might be like the BRPro smooth blanks, but they’re not even close. The BRPro are amazing, and zero spinners

Will pull the trigger on Br Pros soon. I like your comment

Ok, but I mean you can’t buy them at this moment, right? So he should always have the textured ones when he just ordered samples.

At this moment? Not sure what you mean. I got mine and sold them within the last 6 months. As far as I know, Tina still offers smooth no-mold.

Tina has a small crown mold mold too that looks great.

So someone talked to Tina, any chance for sharing the way one does that? This Tina person is quite mysterious...

I think the first thing you need to figure out is if you are going to hit the minimum requirement. I think it is 20k chips but not sure. Might be 10k. I would just stick with the group buys unless you plan on running your own group buy or buy the minimum yourself.
