My Journey As A Professional Poker Player (28 Viewers)

At 52k blinds just hit 2/4/4k and 77 left

I fucking HATE tournaments. Blinds 5/10/10k we have 208k and shove over a raise to 23k

Guy thinks forever and eventually calls with 9's. AT BEST he's coin-flipping for most of his stack, rest of my range is pairs that beat him

Shitty runout and we bust 32nd, 5 fucking spots from the $$$

SUCKA DEALAAAAA!

It's just me. But I try to not shove pre just because it makes it bingo. I am not a pro and not even very good but bad players seem to suck out on me a lot. I get trying to win right there but my MOJO doesn't support GTO very well. As Vince and Mike would say.....that's poker!

Edit: love following your antics so I can live vicariously through you.

I mean, at the end of the day I should've busted on the AT vs AK hand against Pokerface Ash. And then I should've lost the KK vs AA vs 88 hand but I busted those two guys. So I shouldn't have even gone as deep as I did.

But the last tournament I played I finished 14th (surprise surprise, 9 spots paid) and this time I finished 32nd when 27 spots paid, in a spot where the guy with 9's should be folding as his best case scenario is he's up against AK or AQ suited. If I have any pair it has him completely dominated.

Just frustrating two tournaments I've played recently and I finish so frigging close but no cigar.

Well let the masses speak!
Who likes Brad Owen? Why?
You have to be kidding me.

He's a nice guy. He's completely open about his thoughts on poker and how he plays. Easy to root for. Is good to fans. Is entertaining. I mean, if you tell me he's just too vanilla for your liking, I get it....but saying how you don't get how people like him? Come on. He's super easy to like....which will make people not like him. I get that.

You probably hate Jerry Seinfeld too. More of a Bill Burr guy, probably, am I right?

No, that’s probably the answer I was looking for, thanks.
Now for the record, I do think Bill Burr moved into the #1 slot since Norm died. But I love Seinfeld and I love Jerry Seinfeld, and if he gave a crap to work enough, he could be #1.
But anyway I guess I just don’t connect with Brad. We all have our tastes. And don’t get me wrong, I’d love to have him at my game, he seems like a good guy. But as far as poker content goes, there’s just so much out there, and he’s not my choice.

Because he's great and you are wrong. He definitely wasn't a great player, I'd even say he was kinda crap. But he's gotten so much better and he's crushing it recently.

Plus he's super down to earth and very relatable. And I think he does a decent job with his humour.

Didn’t know Ash played there but I know she moved to TX from AZ recently. Played with her a couple times here at 3/4 $800 max and she had her biggest win ever ($3K) on her going away MUG. She has an interesting stream on IG and YT, sorta cool to see someone start micro and run it up.

Now she’s buying in for 9K and cashing out 5 figures. She seems to have worked hard at improving her game with coaching and is likely being backed by someone at this point.

I don’t think she plays PLO but if you end up playing HE she’s solid.

Someone came by thectable and was glad she busted, he said we didn't want her having chips because she was a good player

She's recently been on stream here

I agree. I believe he is a better player now than early in the pandemic when he started receiving attention on this site.

Ok just created a brand new intro and I think it's way more catchy and hype than my previous one, lemme know what you think?

It's missing a SUCKAH DEALAH in there somewhere.

My honest suggestion is to remove the table audio and just have the guitar riff and video footage of the pots being pushed your way. Your table talk in those clips seems a little out of place.

I wanted to have the beautiful sound of lots of chips being dragged

They are all individually cool but using the heavy metal music with the chip noises kinda clutters the mix up. The first half of the dialogue I can’t understand very well.

I like it but I’d turn the music down a tad so the chatter is center of attention. Plus I’d pay someone on fiverr to redo your PowerPoint logo animation

I like it. Unfortunately the first clip you do speak very quickly - I thought it was Chinese at first. However it was a beautiful pot, and I like that it shows you giving a nice size tip for the dealer.

Nothing makes a pro more likable than good tipping.

Thank you!

Dealers in PLO deserve bigger tips because there's a TON more work involved in dealing PLO and awarding pots than in Hold Em. So much math to calculate, all the sidepots, extra cards, etc. They're dealing significantly less hands per hour, and fortunately for me pushing pots much larger than in a respective hold em game.

Lex O Poker recently caught a TON of flack on Twitter for his tipping stance, so I figured it's important to show a pro taking care of the staff that make it all possible.

I wonder if there's any way folks seeing clips of your habit of adjusting cards in a particular way could be exploitable? Probably not but just a thought.
