And Florida is a hotspot. Good luck, in more ways than 1

Very confident I already had the virus at the end of January.

Cases are rising, deaths are down.

Hard rock does temp checks, requires masks, has plexiglass dividers, requires players sanitize hands each time they sit down at the table (or get up and come back) and they clean the chips and replace cards regularly.

You'll never know -- antibody tests are unreliable, and no one knows how long acquired immunity will last.

Deaths are down, probably due to many afflicted being younger. But COVID ICU beds are full already in many areas of Florida, including here.

Take extra care, Anthony. You won't be doing much twitching from an intubator...

Well, as I've mentioned before. I never get the flu shot, I never get the flu either. End of January I was the sickest I've ever been in my life. The symptoms I experienced match up with those of Covid, but at the time no one was talking about it, so we just thought we caught a bad case of the flu because I was playing full time at the casinos.

About a month and a half later, I get hit with the same exact symptoms (this time my wife does not). But, they are significantly less severe and only last maybe 3-4 days instead of 2 weeks.

For me, that says I either caught a weaker strain of Covid, or I had developed antibodies enough that it didn't hit me as hard the 2nd time around.

Whatever the case, the poker room has plenty of precautions in place that I am not concerned.

Got some real droolers at this 1/2 PLO table. Guy with bottom 2 pair and a gutshot stacked off on this flop. He was rewarded with the Q turn but went bust within the next hour playing like a tard.

Unfortunately I didn't get him, but still going ok

Whew, had to sweat this one. Button straddle to $5, I call from SB with :ac::qh::jh::jc:, bunch of other callers, guy in MP makes it 10, everyone calling, I repot to $70 and we go SIX WAYS to this flop

:kd::8c::td:

We all check to the shorty who made it 10, he goes all-in for $63

Bunch of callers, I call. Turn the beautiful :as: and I pot it all-in when they check

One more shorty calls off for $130 and river :2s: is fucking pure, bust three guys who rebuy andSCOOP!

this hand reminds me of a certain online app. I am only surprised that some hand like 6667 didn’t win

A little 4th of July PLO

Up $2800 yesterday, and you couldn't afford red, white, and blue shoes? A flag for the left hand? Red white, and blue underwear (no, we don't want to see it!)

(It's a good thing I just picked up a bottle of anti-nausea/vomiting pills at Walgreens...but now they may not last until my surgery...)

Surgery? Whatta ya got......Commie-itis?

Ooch, was doing great, then this hand

Straddled to $40 in MP, guy with 3k raises to $185

We are on button with $1900 and repot to $635 or 685, whatever it was, with :ad::as::td::9h:

He cold calls, flop is :th::5d::6c: and he bets $650 into me. I block top set, there's no flush draws and I have a hard time putting him on a straight draw type hand that calls pre, plus I have the 9 blocker for those rundowns as well

I get it in, board pairs 5, then pairs 6, he shows QJTT

Ooch

Apologies in advance for strat discussion of a big hand just lost. I'll assume you're open to it since you're posting the HH.

This hand might be worth a separate strategy post. I think this a fold on the flop. When a villain flats a PSB OOP pre and leads this flop, a big part of his range includes rundowns that make at least one pair, often two. Assuming this is a decent game, many people will be flatting with middle rundowns OOP imo.

The SPR in that spot going to the flop was essentially 1:1

I block top set, I have the 9 which is part of the rundowns, and hard to see someone calling off half my stack OOP with a hand that hits the 56 rundown there

I mean, maybe 89TJ or QJ98 for the gutshot

I figured he might have KKxx or the other Aces, that flop looks favorable

But once he donks the flop there's like 2k and I have to call off my 1300 or whatever, flop looks good for my hand. I still think I get it in there

He's playing shit like 9952 double s00ted now to raises, so will just be patient and catch him at some point

I hear you on all of the above. I guess my experience is different at these stakes. I would expect KKxx to check the flop unless it's something like KKQJ giving him the high straight draw. I've also seen many people (basically all rec players) raise/call middle rundowns and worse (as evidenced by the fact that you say he's playing 9952).

Perhaps it's just a player pool difference. I'm sure know your local players' tendencies better than I can reading HHs on the internet. If he's the kind of guy who would donk KKxx there, I'm sure you'll get it back. Good luck and great thread!

Never played him before, but he is Asian so gotta give him less credit for hands

Oh, forgot to mention today was the 1st time I've ever bought another man a massage

He had 22xx and flopped 229 in PLO which SHOULD qualify for high hand (which was $500 today)

However, the river was an Ace and the floor ruled the language in their rules states "best hand" so since his hand changed on the river he no longer qualified!

In the past they'd put 22229 on the board. I created a stink about in multiple online poker groups, they saw it and ran it up the ladder to the poker director who will get it clarified so the turn and river can't fuck our high hands, but will be next month when it changes

Felt bad for the guy, I got a 20 minute massage from my favorite girl and then paid for him to get a 20 minute one as well
