Mystery CPC Custom Set - Samples CLOSED (3 Viewers)

I don't have any new information or photos or anything, I just wanted to say that I need these to come soon so I stop getting bored and buying random chips that I don't particularly have any use for.

Also I'm excited because it's May, and this mold may be in production by the end of the month.

Carry on.

Buttons have been obtained.

Now I just have to wait for the chips!

Thank you, and yes they absolutely are!
Thanks! May the chipes come soon ...

 I'm thick as two short planks when drooling over something. Totally obvious: Why would someone let the writing on the rim be upside down? :cautious:

Translation (from 'The Phrase Finder') :ROFLMAO::

As thick as two short planks
Meaning
Exceedingly stupid.

Origin
'Thick' has been used to mean slow-witted or stupid since the turn of the 17th century. Shakespeare used it to good effect in Henry IV, Part. 2, 1600:

Hang him baboon, his wit's as thicke as Tewksbury mustard.

Tewksbury mustard was a variety that was made in the Gloucestershire town from ground English mustard seeds and horseradish, formed into a ball. It was thick and creamy, in fact it still is and is available in Tewksbury and elsewhere in the UK.

Most of the 'as X as Y' similes refer to some item (Y) and precede it with some property (X) that Y is well-known to posses. Here 'thick' does double duty. It refers to the obvious lack of wit that a piece of wood would display and also to another meaning of thick, that is, 'short and wide'. Planks of wood are wide and the shorted they are the greater their apparent thickness. Two short planks are even thicker.

The expression 'as thick as two short planks', which is sometimes given in the variant form 'as thick as two planks', is of UK origin and dates from the 1970s.

Oh and GREAT buttons sir!

Lol. The "Dealer" text alternates four times around the edge. Two right-side up and two up-side down

Sorry Bill, still not a shipping notice...

But I did receive these beautiful wooden racks from @T_Chan as a thank you gift for helping with his table raffles.

Not only are they freaking awesome, but he also sent exactly enough to house this set when it arrives

Pictures do not do them justice, they are just absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to fill them up. Thanks a ton Tony!

Another @T_Chan homerun. Nice work Tony as always!

Nice, I set the over/under on the number of times you hit refresh on the tracking info over the next couple days at 22.5

I'm actually going to just sit on my front porch for the next few days and stand up every time I see a mailman/main truck. Then sit back down and look all sad when it's not here yet.

Though I suspect if they ship tomorrow that they won't be here until Monday, so it may be a long weekend.

(But if you're keeping track I've only checked the number once, and it says "Pre-Shipment", maybe I should see if it's changed yet... ok twice.)

a simple like would not suffice for this comment. Thanks Brett, my day was getting aggravating and then I read this and envisioned you jumping up and then the sad face and am almost on the floor laughing. Damn, I love this site!

good news kind of. I have a couple of police reports to type up. As long as I don't get interrupted I'll be at my work station for the next hour plus. Normally I would hate typing up these reports. Not today :)

Ok so I've checked it 3 times now (I signed up for texts when there's an update)

The package shows as accepted/received, which makes me optimistic for Saturday delivery.

And when you see those magical words "out for delivery", you better be prepared. In my area, the mail delivery is not consistently at the same time each day. So if thats also true in your area, here are a few tips:

Shower the night before. Don't drink anything after 8am (or whatever time they start delivering mail) cause there are no bathroom breaks. Keep tv volume level low so you can hear even the faintest of knocks at the door. Push all calls directly to voicemail and use vibrate only setting. Take heart medicine cause every little noise will make your imagination run wild with delivery anticipation. If its on Sat. don't do yardwork where you can't see/hear the front door or someone walking up to it. Mow the lawn some other day. Tell kids to take a hike (by themselves or with mom). Enjoy! :D:coffee:

We have the same delivery problems? "out for delivery" means between 10 am and 9 pm (even though they are supposed to deliver before 8). My daily mail isn't much better. It runs between 10 am and 7 pm each day

Yup true here as well. I gave up hope on my last delivery around 8pm but sure enough there was a knock at the door around 8:30pm.
