Hello again,

In the market for a 600-700 chip case. My ideal case would allow me to store cards, DB’s, and chips with covered racks. I plan to use it for either my cash and tournament set when traveling. So I’d like to be able to fit either 39mm or 43mm. So far I’ve come down to the Apache 3800 and Nanuk 915. The Nanuk is about twice as much as the Apache, although it comes in a color that I prefer,

Aesthetics aside, would the price really be worth it? I like that the dimensions are slightly smaller than the Apache, yet it still has more space on the inside. Ive seen the latch has gotten some good feedback here. Wondering if anyone has anything to provide in terms of quality of the foam.

I’m also a tool guy, so while I’ve ventured through Harbor Freight many times, I do know their quality can be hit or miss.

If I could fill up my Packout I would be happy with that. But then I’d need Kaizen foam and that’s a whole other project that I don’t really want. Although black and red kaizen would look “Preme”. Or so the youngsters would say.

I have the Apache 3800 and I'm pretty happy with it. Had it for a couple years now and no problems. Although weight can be an issue. I've crammed 900 chips in mine and i did it not so pretty, but it works just fine.

I;ve been meaning to get a couple more to store a couple of my other sets, but this time, do it pretty.

I don’t have a Nanuk, however recently bought a couple of Apache 3800 for future chip storage. The apache’s are complete overkill for my needs (99% of the time will be lying on a garage shelf). I’d say these are better than the Versa case I have if I were to start using it for transporting to other home games etc.

I’m assuming if it’s twice the price then it’ll have better hinges/seals/foam etc, but will that make a difference in reality?

In short, if you value the aesthetics/color as much or more than basic function, go for the Nanuk. I didn’t care about the color and picked up two Apaches in the sale, one black and one tan since they were the only two left. Also means I don’t mind if they get scuffed up.

GL!

Nanuk 930 + Foam + Top Lid organizer will accomplish this and has wheels.

Nanuk 938 is slightly bigger and will hold 27 racks, 14decks, and a bunch of buttons/accessories. I think it's on sale too. You can use it to carry cash AND tournament so ppl can have something to do after they bust

Nanuk 960 fits everything with just foam (theres no top lid organizer option).

The nanuk 980+ can also fit rolled table toppers but thata beyond the scope for now.

All three of these can double as a solid suitcase. Alternative uses are good.

Nanuk 915 does not have wheels. The ability to wheel chips goes a long way and is well worth the investment.
