theres no need to remove the insert for labels.

It's all a matter of preference. Removing the inlays allows for the use of laminated labels and limits the amount of chip covered (using the original inlay footprint vs expanding it to the complete recessed area allows about 10% more of the chip material to be exposed). Both of these are important to me.

Thanks,
Grant

Some pics I took today while posting some extras for sale :)

That came out pretty good, wat process did you take

IMG_2736.JPG

3 minutes in the ultrasonic, then into the oxiclean bath and I give them a quick scrub scrub scrub on each side of the chip then into the water to rinse, then I rub the rolling Edge hard with a microfibre and put on towel to dry... this seems to be the only method that gets white (or close to white) chips to really pop.. almost all colours just need ultrasonic, but white ones really benefit from the oxyclean

Damn, Stump, that's a hell of a lot of work. Can't argue with the results, though! Those whites are as clean as I've seen for these NL primaries yet!

How much do you charge to clean 500 chips :sneaky:

Nice. You using TSP in ultrasonic? Heat? Doesn't look like much fading on your 25's despite 3 min, which is a little surprising to me.

It's the heat that fades, an 30C is pretty low. I did 40C when doing Horseshoes before I noticed any fading.
