Negreanu's Roid Rage (1 Viewer)

I've seen Negreanu multiple times at the WSOP Main Event, and he's an AMAZING poker ambassador. Dude ALWAYS goes out of his way to talk to fans. He literally walked away from an ESPN interview to hang with fans, and sign hats and t-shirts. The dude ROCKS!!

I've always thought Daniel was very professional at the table... I watched most if not all of his blogs last year, and even when he was steamed, he was gracious at the table and saved the rant for the hallway walk back to the RV.

I've watched a handful of his early games this year and I thought he was more crass playing online this year... He rubbed his victories in his opponents faces, called them names when they made a mistake but lockboxed into a win, etc. It's like no one is watching because he's online, despite streaming it live on multiple platforms.

I've really seen a different side of Daniel... I stopped watching because it's so much chat between hands and so little about interesting poker... And the chat is so the same .. Mostly about his vegan diet, weightloss/cardio and his plan to bulk up going forward. If I want to watch someone answer the same questions over and over, I'll watch any RPAN steam on Reddit.

Are you going to tell me that you don’t act differently when you’re playing online? I know I do. I’ve never once screamed FUCK YOU! FUCK YOU! SUCK IT!!!! in a casino. But I do it several times an hour online.
Contrary to what his critics say, I think the guy is very genuine. And what we’ve seen of his streams this year support that. He’s not pretending to be something he isn’t. And when he’s at the casino, he’s not pretending to be something he isn’t, either. He’s just behaving how decent people behave in a casino.
Obviously I’m a big fan - that’s why I’ve replied to this thread so many times. But I’m not a fanboy - he’s a little obsessed with himself, I don’t care about the vegan diet or his workouts or his body, he’s kind of a weirdo and a geek. I just like how he plays poker, and his passion and respect for the game.
 
Met Dnegs in person back in 2007 when he was cheating on his Asian wife with some blond girl (not Amanda) so his squeeky clean image was ruined for me long ago

He is or was a born again christian and raised a stink about ferguson being nicknamed "jesus" when he is an atheist, as if ferguson nicknamed himself

Dnegs is a vegan and went to the choice center and comes across as a holier than thou type and has rubbed me wrong for a long time

That being said, he is entertaining to watch, but not surprised he showed his ass and revealed he is not who the poker media has portrayed him to be
 
I don't believe anyone should be cancelled, or removed from Twitter for something like this. I just think it's another in a long line of things that makes Daniel look bad. His behavior IMO has been going downhill for almost a decade at this point. And while I always heard this is a more accurate representation of him IRL than was portrayed in the early years of TV poker, I just think it makes him look like a real dbag.

And FYI, I like Doug Polk. There, I said it. ;)

I'll never respect a troll. They're responsible for more misery for no other reason than their own fragile little ego's.

Daniel went off and it's not a good look. Doug is an ass about it so he can stroke his own ego a bit more, and to me that's an even worse look.

Of course I do. But I also play differently when when I'm online and online chatting via zoom. Plus, when I'm playing online and zooming, it's with friends. I don't broadcast to tens of thousands of people.

Don't get me wrong, I like Daniel as a poker player. I'm just seeing a different side of him.

His ex-wife is a blonde haired white woman. He did date Evelyn Ng but that was well before 2007.
 
If anyone said something IRL about a wife/mother/daughter/what have you, then I think the little tirade is acceptable. But streaming online? Gotta have the thinnest skin possible. Twitch is a CESSPOOL of nasty nasty stuff... if 22 year olds playing Call of Duty can ignore the most vile chats, I’d expect one of the faces of professional poker to be able to do the same.

On the bright side, if you ever get sat at the same table as Negreanu you know *exactly* what’ll tilt him lol.

DNegs is okay. He's obviously not as amazing as some people think, but he seems like he's genuine for the most part. Polk is a douche bag troll. I used to watch his videos on youtube but quickly stopped after just becoming sick of his constant trolling and bitching. I agree with others above that someone who allegedly has anxiety issues but constantly trolls and treats other people like shit all the time is truly a fucked up person.

Hmmm, you are 100% correct. Not sure why, but back then I was under the impression he was married to an Asian woman and it didn't work out

So from the little 5 min search into this tirade, it seems like someone called his wife a gold digger. That’s it?!! That seems pretty light considering how toxic people usually are online.

I dunno. No ones ever called my wife a gold digger and if they did, it would just make her sound stupid since I ain’t got no gold. I thought I’d be something more serious.

I HIGHLY doubt Doug Polk wanted to get Daniel banned. First of all, it doesn't line up with his overall world view given his political tendencies. Second, why would you want one of your favorite people to make fun of banned from the platform you take a lot of your video of him from?
