We already have a hard enough time keeping "tributes" available on this forum. You can all but guarantee that the Aria clones and things of the like will never see the light of day on here with this mold in production.

Yeah this is bad. As much as I’m tempted to place an order I’m going to avoid these…

On the other hand my idea and I’m sure several others of a grading company for poker chips sure makes a lot more sense

Gross.

Good thing I have all the Paulsons I need and want already...

Saw this recently, thought it was interesting: alternate Greek mold. Turned on its side, a little different. Not saying I like it better, but that would be a solution to those worried about copyright issues. Personally I’m not though

Would be cool to have each denom the equivalent mold.
That's 25
$1, $10 and $100 may look silly tho.

lol. they cant even copy a mold correctly. where is the reverse hat? its called RHC for a reason. Hah! the joke is on them!
Maybe it’s the same reason that Gear won’t make an exact identical label to a casino. There always has to be a very slight difference in anything that he prints. That way it can’t be shown as a counterfeit.

I'm pissed because out of all of the retired, awesome molds that have begging for a revival, we're left with a piece of shit replica (read: FRAUD) that will also harm and cause distrust among the community.

So if someone buys a “replica” copy of, let’s say, the Declaration of Independence” to frame and hang, that’s fraud now? If someone sees these chips and thinks they’re the real deal they’re a moron and they deserve to be taken advantage of. Same thing if someone thinks a framed replica of the Declaration of Independence is real.

Honest question, if someone is new to something and doesn't know better, that means they deserve to be taken advantage of? I can't agree with that and I think its a fallacy in thought. We can argue that the onus is on them to educate themselves, but deserving of being defrauded isn't my thought process. There's lots of consumer protections against certain practices for this reason.

The minute that Tina advertises these as Paulson I will 100% agree with you. Until then I stand by my view.

Also, the word defrauded being used here is invalid unless if she is advertising these as the real deal.

I’d actually be curious to see what her actual website looks like. I’ll admit I’ve never seen it. Only seen cards mold/Tina stuff through group buys here. Does anyone have an actual link?

How do they describe their chips?

That's fair, but people that are new may not know to look for that specific word, I usually lean towards protecting the buyer not the seller though. I'm not jumping for pitchforks either, I just don't like the idea that new members deserve any negative interactions.

I'm pretty clueless on the wording, I meant the copying the model seemed to be deceptive, trying to copy a product that's already been made to mimic its value. What makes the use of "defrauding" valid? Honest questions, looking to learn.
EDIT: Gotcha, real deal advertising.
Most of the time just advertised as poker chips, don't believe they reference Paulson and don't call them clay.

I’m no expert either but to me (I could be wrong) fraud is when someone says this is this actual thing then it ends up not being that thing.

Example, if the gift shop selling a replica copy of the Declaration of Independence claims it’s the real deal. That would be fraud. That’s why I’m curious what the Tina website actually looks like.

(I only bring up Declaration of Independence because I watched National Treasure the other night) ha.

This isn't about Tina advertising, this is about assholes who will go have sets printed on them and pass them off as genuine themselves. They already try to do that shit with the cards mold, and it will only get worse.
